Fees for A Change of Course

    Hi guys,

    I was wondering does anybody know that if were to change course now (currently in 4th year) how would I be covered with having to pay fees?

    I'm get the Student Maintenance grant and am a HEAR student, but as far as I know, I would lose these if I was to change?

    You would have to pay full fees now. You only get one of each year for "free" (i.e. one first year, one second year, etc.) and as you've already done 4, you would have to pay full EU fees for the whole degree (unless the new one was a 5-year one, you'd get the 5th year free).

    No idea about the grant though.

    You'd be a lot better off finishing your course. I mean, you surely only have about 2 months of class left.

    A year and 3 months

    Haven't been a fan of the course since 1st year and I genuinely don't know how much more I can take

    Still I think it would be extremely unwise to drop out at this stage. Im assuming you're in med or physio? You would be infinitely better off to stick it out for the remaining year and then you have a degree and you can choose your own path from there if clinical practice doesn't interest you. If you leave now you will have precisely nothing to your name and a wasted 4 years. Step back and be rational about this.
