A table full of enormous mobile phones with rats tails, white wine spritzers and a bag of pub crisps in the middle, all phones had the same ring tone so 1 would ring and we would all pick them up then put them back if it was not yours, memories!

But the crisps as stated numerous times are not the King "pub crisps" in the red bag!?

There is no image of the crisps im looking for on google that i can see, obviously it was my first port of call before starting the thread!

There's a page on facebook called "Rare Irish Stuff" id say they might be able to dig something up but i'm no longer on facebook so if anyone else wants to enquire feel free and do report back with any findings!

So originally they had the price on them? Interesting - my memory is that regular taytos had and pub crisps didn't. Either that change came later, or my memory is shot.

Nothing compares to hot nuts although Aldi sell big bags of them for excessive home consumption.

A couple of people mentioned salt & vinegar peanuts. I had some Pellito ones yesterday - they are absolutely divine, totally addictive.

You clearly haven't read through the thread

You clearly havnt read the thread. I think its stated that Tayto and King all had renditions on the pub crisps. You seem to be just making up some kind of version along with the story of how much of a legend you were back then eatin all the crisps in the bar.

Not really?? I started the thread, and i stated at the beginning it wasn't King crisps i was talking about yet people kept saying it was. I mentioned at least twice the crisps in question were from the late 80's or 90's and all that was on the packet was a large "PUB" yet people kept mentioning the current King "Pub Crisps" in the red foil packet! Do your homework before being smart and private messaging with pointless comments?

As far as calling myself a legend i cant see where i referred to myself by that term if you care to point out the post? I was a child back then, and unless you had some horrid childhood im sure you were delighted with a few packs of crisps yourself back in the day, others seemed to be in agreement also.

I've just shown my sister this post and she's in total agreement. Many times throughout the late 70s / early 80s!
