Microlite as contraception?

Not sure if this is the right place to post but anyway...

I've been on microlite for the past year or so as a method of regulating periods but am starting to consider using it as a method of contraception. My question is, how do people find it? Is it safe? I'm still young so under no circumstances want to end up pregnant. We'd be using condoms as well but I'm not sure if I should change to a stronger dose of microlite( I'm on 100MCG/20MCG at the moment) or change to an entirely different pill all together. I'm a bit apprehensive of the latter as I've found other pills cause shocking mood swings alltogether so I'd prefer to not have to experience that again :p Just wondering could anyone who's on this dose share whether its worked for them or not, or any other pill that might be better. I've been on Dianette before but as stated above don't really want to revisit that ha! Any help would be much appreciated thanks! :)

I was on Microlite for years and found it wonderful. It's one of the lighter pills and for me I had no adverse side effects. I only came off it when I wanted to become pregnant and that happened really quickly so it evidently didn't effect the speed at which ovulation returned either.

I can't for the life of me remember the dose but book in with your GP to consult with them on what dosage will afford you full protection.

    Hi there OP,
I'm afraid medical advice isn't allowed on boards. The best person to advise you on your contraceptive pill is your GP, you'll need to see them for a new prescription anyway :)
