Where to find Shirataki Noodles in Dublin?

    Hi

Does anyone know where I can find shiritaki (very low calorie) noodles for sale in Dublin (preferably the city centre).

    Also how much are they?

I want to try them to see if I will like them but afterwards I would consider doing a bulk purchase to save money if possible.

I searched through the other threads but the info seems to be out of date.

H&B have them, they are on offer at the moment, still very expensive

Alternatives are "cauliflower rice" and I currently am eating lots of finely chopped raw cabbage to bulk out meals. I never had the cauliflower rice, the cabbage is very quick & easy.

Not zero calories but relatively low.

They're insanely expensive. I get them randomly if my main dinner is very indulgent in terms of the sauce or something etc... Or if I really crave proper noodles. The above alternatives of cauliflower rice or chinese cabbage are great or you can make courgette noodles. Get a julienne peeler (homestore and more) and you can peel noodle like strips of courgetter, fry for a couple of minutes and they're done! I have them with spaghetti bolognese too.

I'd have thought you'd get them in the Asia Market on Drury Street.

I saw people mention asian markets before, but they are really more a substitute health food item, a very expensive one. I did look to see if they were in one in capel street but saw none, they might have a different name but I doubt they would sell well.

That shop has a site with a noodle page, can't see any

    That looks pretty outdated.

I've bought them in the Asian Market on Drury St before. They are in the fridge on the right hand side of the shop (straight down the first aisle when you come in). Can't remember the exact price but they were VERY expensive for a small small pack.

I wouldn't buy them again - just add loads of veg into your meal to bulk it out instead.

I thought they were disgusting tbh - load up the veg instead, much cheaper and nicer!

ETA: Actually I find beansprouts a great noodle alternative. Yum
