Hotpoint Iced Diamond

    Hi,

    I have a hotpoint Iced Diamond freezer, and the red High Temperature light stays on - with the food being only half frozen.

    the freezer is not making any noise or anything.

    any ideas whats wrong?

    if the compressor motor is not running the red light will come on at about minus 8 degrees and the food needs to be shifted to a freezer that is running correctly. As regards it not running the most likely problem is that you have a compressor burn out especially after the storm . If you hear it trying to run momentarily and then cutting out definitely comp. motor . Expensive to repair and only guys with specialised refrigeration gear can repair it if its faulty. It could be a T.O.C. in the pot but then again you need someone that knows how to check it.
