Have you ever felt so unmotivated that you just want to spend the whole day in bed, getting up only to eat and use the toilet?

Just a good book and boards.ie on the iPhone for company?

They say it's very unhygienic to have animals in the bed with you.

You couldn't just say 'the phone' :pac:

Anyway, to answer the question, I feel like that every day, then I have to get up and do real life shìt because without doing that I'll have no food, no bed, no toilet, no roof over my head, no good book...

Actually I don't want an iphone because I think they're a polished turd.

Rarely but that's the upside to being sick, lazing in bed all day.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,440 ✭✭✭Stavros Murphy

    I don't think I've ever even had a lie-in beyond 10am tbh. Can't imagine spending a day in bed. I'd go nuts.

Did it. 14 times. Was 21. Probably 4 nowadays.

If I could, I would do it once a week, but instead of Boards.ie on the iPhone, I'll have it on the laptop. And I should teach the rabbits and cats to feed themselves :D

I shouldn't have engaged you I know that but seriously, the majority of your posts have the same tone. I wouldn't be surprised if you were a bit like a female version of Eric Idles "nudge nudge" character in reality.

I love lying in. Slept for 28 hours once.
The girlfriend doesn't like me lying in though because she's fairly active and usually gets up early even on her days off so she gets upset and bored and lonely if she's up and I'm snoozing in the cot for hours.

I try and have my porridge before one, sometimes it gets so close I can hear the microwave still buzzing as your man or woman reads the weather. That would be seldom though.

Stayed in bed once till 11. Hated America for the duration of it.

Cold and dark, gale force winds, house to be cleaned, nothing much planned.

    Vs

Warm and snug, entertainment, foodage in bed and possible naughtiness.

On the sofa all day with the fire roaring away would be so much better. Haven't done it in months, must rectify that soon.

I spend an entire day in bed fairly frequently. At least once every week there's a day where it feels so pointless to bother getting up because the world has nothing out there for me that's worth getting up for. Often don't bother eating on those days too. Might sound depressing to others but I've gotten fairly used to it by now. =/

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 460 ✭✭Cogsy88

All the time. There's just no reason to get up.

Took a Ferris Bueller from work on Wednesday, had such great plans but then it was cold and miserable...ended up snuggled in bed by midday and didn't arise until 8pm. Naturally didn't sleep too well that night and was shattered at work the next day...

I'm in early bird (it's Sunday morning, 10.20 in Madrid and I've already had my breakfast) and my boyfriend lies in 'till 12.20 - 1pm. He goes to bed very late as he's not working, so we keep different timetables. I don't bored as I like the peace before he gets up but I do think he's missing out. Mornings are special: everyone still asleep, cafes still empty, only a few people on the streets, crisp morning air, beautiful shadowy light on the buildings. Lying in is a bit of a waste of time for me.

Hard to coincide morning canoodling though.

I've stayed in bed a few times for whole days. Done everything in bed including eat and drink and had everything to hand right beside so I didn't have to go far. Love doing it now and then. Relax the arse off myself.
