So, what with it being Valentines day we got to talking in work and one of the lads spoke of a triangle of sorts basically saying that for the majority of men when it boils down to potential suitors we usually wind up with someone who falls into two catagories of "Stunning looks", "Great personality" and "Intelligence" and when you happen to meet someone with all 3 she is probably out of your league :P

So out of curiosity if you have to pick two, which would you pick?

Personally i would go for intelligence and stunning looks...


Also in case you ladies are feeling this is sexist or maybe feel left out he also went on to say that women view us lads based on "Good looks", "Money" and "Personality" but he was only poking fun... obviously no woman would ever go for a lad just for his cash :rolleyes:

Fook that's hard. I'm a sucker for a good-looking man (not really, really ridiculously good-looking or anything but handsome). I'd have to choose personality and intelligence and if he was bet down, I'd hope he'd woo me with his brains and sense of humour. As long as he was reasonably fit with no beer belly he could get away with having a face like a sack of melted Euros.

that has to be the choice, all the time (assuming an average level in all traits)

personality > looks
looks > intelligence
personality > intelligence

no point having a really intelligent partner if you don't get along with them or fancy them, good for having in depth discussions with or giving you advice, that'd be about it.

Personally i like women with a good education... not the bookish type necessarily, most of the girls i know are all college educated and are wild but i do appreciate it when they know enough to call me on my BS or can put me in my place when i'm wrong. I also cant handle text speak, in person or in text!

Text speak as in verbally using text abbreviations "Lol" "OMG" etc, to be honest it makes me feel that the whole younger generation is getting slightly dumber as the years go on! using "der" for "there" or "dat" for "that" etc etc really annoys me more then it probably should but it just screams laziness and maybe even lack of intelligence in some cases as i know from texting people that the standard of spelling is horrific these days! Maybe i am just becoming an old, lonely moan haha

I know what text speak is , thought you meant I used text speak (AI).
I'm getting on, but not that old I haven't experienced that. I admit to abbreviating text messages solely for the purpose of squeezing it all into one message, still it needs to be intelligible. I have my limits, any more than one message probably requires a phone call.

Looks is nice, probably couldn't have a relationship without having at least some physical attraction, personality is probably more important, as in something you can relate to, probably same for intelligence. To tolerate an absolute moron, she'd have to be super hot, great rack (lols, XD, etc )

I don't think i could tolerate an airhead no matter how hot they were! I meet the type all the time... drop dead gorgeous and always surrounded by people yet any time i talk to this type of person i end up struggling to make conversation and not because i'm in any way intimidated etc, literally just because i struggle for any sort of intelligent conversation! When the conversation revolves around programmes on E entertainment i usually take that as my queue to leave!

On the other hand an extremely good looking girl with a brain who is a complete bitch is something i can get down with! in fact that kind of turns me on
