    Hi,
I am 30 yo male, and pretty unfit.

I try to walk approx 3-4km per day after work as briskly as i can, but i never feel my heart working i am always just mildly tired for about 5min afterwards but that's it.

I feel that my heart is not really getting any exercise tbh, could someone give advice on a simple fitness program to follow, i dont have the cash for gyms or equipment. Dont want to be mega fit, just "my heart is safe" fit - and yes i know half of that battle is balanced diet too.

    Thanks:

    Are you overweight at all?

    Go jogging?

    Or cycling ?

Or time yourself over a distance walking, then make sure you go faster each time.

How are you at running? If you just want your heart-rate to increase but don't know where to start, the couch to 5K program is good and 100% free.

Would need to lose 7kg to make a BMI of 22 i think, so not that much overweight, i think current BMI is almost 25.

Is there a reason you haven't just started to run? No offence but going for a walk makes me think of middle aged women in fluorescent jackets out for a gab :-) I'm being facitious I know but running seems like the obvious answer. As above, a Couch to 5k app for your phone will get you started
