iTunes not Opening

    Hi,

I just updated my MacBook Pro to use Maverick and now iTunes won't open. When I click on it it does light and bounce, and the screen flashes, but nothing happens then. I've looked in the Force-Quit list too and it's not there.

    Would really appreciate any help!!

And bear in mind I'm not too tech-savvy, so assume I know nothing. I.e. very basic instructions please!

    Thanks :-)

First up: open Software Update to check if there's an iTunes update.

Thank you! I thought I had already ticked this off but just noticed an update to iTunes 11.1.4. It's currently crawling along so I'll most likely let it install overnight and see if it works tomorrow.
