    Not another attack at Crossfit.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CROSSFIT!

Have you seen the Crossfit games? If I have to do a **** load of pull ups along with a load of other things, I'm going to make the movement easier and save energy. It's tactical, faster and clever.

It's almost always these bodybuilder types who are broken people and can't do crossfit movements because of their lack of mobility and in saying that I mean there lack of giving a **** about mobility.

    /rant over.

    Annoying people in gym:

Tossers who stand around talkin crap and not doing anything useful usually taking way too long between sets

Usually checking themselves out in the mirror while enviously checking out people who have useful fitness like crossfitters and marathon runner physic type people

People who abandon weights and leave them scattered across floor when finished using them. Very annoying in a small cramped weights area which is the majority of gyms in the 'health and fitness' industry.

'Hunter Gatherers' - Usually lads working out in groups of 3 or more. Not all of them now, and probably not intentional, but they tend to get in other people's way, gather too many weights around their station which they use for one set but do not re-rack till after all their sets are finished. In a small gym/weights area, I think two is the ideal limit for workout groups, and the most effective for all parties tbh.

    People who drop weights.

"Yeeeeah, did you hear how loud that was when it hit the ground? Yeah I lifted that"

Please place weights back or place them on the ground between sets.

People who pay too much attention to what everyone else is doing.

To add to this, there are 2/3 guys in particular in my gym who not only spend too much time sneering at others, but both are typical examples of annoying gym cnuts in their own ways.

One swings a huge dumbell around while grunting, shouting and eventually throwing it on the floor...he calls this a row.

The other 2 load up 110-120kg on the bar, lower it 3 inches at the most and call it benching.

That's terrible, two lads lifting together and the can only manage 110-120kg.

Meh, it had to be said.

I'm gonna guess Eden is the type of dude who tunes in daily to see luiimarco rant on about Crossfit and Crossfit fails. Yeah their are bad crossfit coaches out there but I can guarantee you there's at least an equal amount of **** gym instructors/PTs etc... But nothing will be said about them.

Eden only says things to provoke a reaction.

I would imagine that kipping pull-ups is the only thing he/she knows about Crossfit.

    I'd agree on that.

    That too.

1 – People who don’t use towels to wipe the bench, etc. down after they are done. And / or don’t even have towels with them.

2- young lads, doing shoulder press, etc. with 30KG in each hand, only managing 3 half reps, and, drop then when they are done.

3 – Guys with so much stuff with them, it is like they are moving into a certain machine. Then they do 1 set, and sit there for 10 min,

4 – The stinky people… People who always have the same clothes on, seriously, how often do you wash your clothes.

    sorry about that

I could roar "fcuk yeah" or something istead but no doubt you'd give out about that too.
I can't win - what is the point of doing something unless people know about it.

anyway my gripe is that some the people I disliked in my old gym have followed me (or the cheap prices) to flyefit.
    sucks balls.

there are 2 gents who are reasonable lifters but never tidy up after themselves - bar, plates , dumbells just left all over the place and now they've joined flyefit too.

Or people who are huge from the waist up but no fooking legs , posers

Guys who spend way too much time on weights taking like 5 mins between sets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,480 ✭✭✭Chancer3001

I take 5 minutes between heavy sets sometimes. What's the problem?

No bother letting people work in if they want.

It's a very odd set up altogether, think Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze...with a barbell :D

The guys who walk around the changing room in their jocks checking themselves out in the mirror. No it didn't get bigger in the 30 mins of weights you did

Arnold, Dorian, Ronnie had no crossfit or trx.... Thank feck there is nothing like you all write in the gym I go too:) people who do not wipe the benches after use, who drop weight for no reason or occupy machines, or talk over the phone loudly are being kicked out on the spot...

Very little bothers me when I'm in the gym except:

-fellas taking off their tops mid workout to flex in the mirror
-Lads shouting their conversation at each other even though they're only 2 metres away

    Yes my gym is brotastic

Guys who are hogging a machine for 10-15 minutes but look at you like you have 2 heads when you ask if you can work in with them. The same guys who usually leave all the weights lying around whilst they go to the mirror to check how much muscle they have put on in the last 30 minutes. :)

Actually had a guy last night who was doing tricep pushdown. I was waiting to use it and went off to get some water. I came back and the guy had left the machine and had gone off to do another exercise at the other end of the gym. I started to do some tricep pushdowns on this now free machine. Was just about to start my 3rd set and he came over and said "I was using that". I said "Well you have been using another machine for the last few minutes so how could you be using this machine also". I also said that I only had 2 more sets to do but that he could work in with me if he wanted. He said something in his own language and walked away. He was giving me the evils the rest of the time I was there. Big fecker too. I kept waiting to get hit in the head with a dumbbell :)
