Am I mad to bench Rooney? I don't see United doing much at the Emirates and after conceding 5 on Saturday Arsenal's defence is going to be on it's toes. Team Below.

Yeah you'd be mad to bench Rooney, might be as well selling him though because he is no longer worth that price.

not buying into the sterling hype. hes the sort of player who will hve a freak game pick up loads of points in one match but doesnt do anything for weeks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Why have Rooney if you're going to bench him? Of course you play him, and if you don't rate him get rid. Your £8m+ players should play every single week.

    Good point, thanks!

Need to bench one of them as I'm happy with the rest of the team, which of the 3 is least likely to score points v Hull?
Just looking at Soton's stats, they have only kept 3 clean sheets in last 18 matches, so will drop Fonte on that basis alone.

    Has to be Fonte.

Totally forgot about Lallana! So I have three playrs playing tonight, that makes it a bit more interesting. Still would be amazed if I don't drop tonight. Staying in the top 10k would do me going into tomorrows games.

Only dilemma for me this week is Olsson (Nor) away to WH or Sagna home to United...

    Haven't decided yet...

Couldn't decide between Bruce at home to Soton or Kos at home to Utd... Went with Paddypowers odds on a clean sheet for Hull and Arsenal in the end.

    Computer says Bruce.

Only because Rosenior is injured. He'll be out again once Rosenior is back.

i have williamson in atm but i'm thinking of giving davis another run out after he rewarded me with his wonder goal at the weekend.

Had a mini heart attack when I couldn't find Demel.

Demel, Lallana, Hazard, Azpilicueta and JRod for me tonight.

Hoping for goals galore in Hull-Saints match.

Exactly, just shipped him for collins. Was tempted to go for Demel but collins is only 0.2 more than bruce and more likely to play. Collins will be bench fodder most weeks anyway

Adrian, Ivanovic, Hazard and Lallans for me tonight.

Push me into the top 1000 lads. All we need to go is 71 places.

Tougher one, I'd say Bony. Stoke concede pretty much every game these days

Bony, he's in very good form.
Think I'll go for Kos over Bruce, looking for a boring 0-0 for that fixture

Really torn between playing Kosc (H vs United) or Bruce (H vs So'ton)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,289 ✭✭✭Padkir

Hmmm, should I leave Clyne on hoping he'll come on and bag an assist like the last 2 games or drop him and risk Ward (vs Everton) or Smalling (vs Arsenal)...

    Kosc IMO.

Unless I take another -4 I'll be playing Mannone in goal. A few save points and perhaps saving a Yaya penalty is the best I can hope for. Damn you McGregor!

    Delph my first sub.

Tonight's all about Cahill, Lallana and the 2 newest members Tomkins and Hazard. Hon the lads!

    Also have benched Mata

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,998 ✭✭✭grohlisagod

Play Fonte. Liverpool always find a way to concede.

One of my few rules is to never take a hit for a goalkeeper so I too will be playing Mannone..

Have accepted it now and expect two penalty saves, 4 save points and an Asmir Begovic style 90 yard goal. Should all that happen he's bound to get a bonus point too.

I'm already on -4 and as much as I love a good hit I couldn't justify it for a keeper. I've convinced myself he'll get some save points :o
