Looks good.. anyone know how they fit?

Bought a medium Kangol polo shirt in TK Maxx and fitted fine, but bought a medium polo shirt in Pull & Bear a few days later and it was too tight.

Christ.. I'm sounding like Goldilocks now!

EDIT: Also.. if I choose to deliver maybe 3 - 4 of them using Parcel Motel - is it likely to be one shipment?
EDIT 2: Never mind Parcel Motel.. just noticed shipping is £3.99 to UK anyways.

Guys and Girls international shipping is only €5.99 and free to UK over £100 purchased.

A few reviews saying they bought one size and should have got smaller ones, though one guy says order a size up. He seems to be outnumbered though.

Crap - went to pay through Amazon and used PM and they snuck in a mug and magazine for an extra quid. Can't remove it.

    Shipping also 4.99

I bought a couple of Slazenger hoodies that they had on special a while back & they were oddly sized & shoddily made.
Grand for doing the garden in or something but they were almost like fake knock-offs.

Ordered 4 anyway, came to just over 10 euro so not much of a risk!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,121 ✭✭✭andrew1977

I always order in GBP sterling when ordering off sports direct, normally comes in a little bit cheaper when it hits my credit card.

Taking the Euro prices on websites in a lot of the cases doesnt give you a fair exchange rate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,726 ✭✭✭gerryk

They're pretty good... better than what you'll get in Dunnes for a tenner anyhow.
The fit seems fine... I generally take XL and XL fits me in these.

Good spot, got some luggage, just over €7 .....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭JP85

Great stuff, thanks for the heads up, bought 3 of them :)

For what you pay, the stuff on SportsDirect is more than fine. Bear in mind that the price of the same stuff in SportsWorld/Heatons here is substantially more.

Worth noting that all the brand names, from what I can tell, are essentially SportsDirect "own brand". Slazenger, Lonsdale, Everlast, Campri etc.

Campri, AFAIR used to make decent outdoor gear. Not so with the stuff SportsDirect sell, but it's cheap.

some nice gear on clearance there aswell brought one of the polos and a nice hoodie, thanks OP

Sportsdirect is grand, they wont be your best clothes but wont be your worst. You really cant expect much from a polo shirt for €1.55, it beats paying 5/6€ though in pennys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 572 ✭✭✭K.C

Ordered 4 of these. Sizes seem to be an issue but see what happens. Cheers OP

    Good spot OP.

Ended up spending £40 even though I only wanted a few polo shirts! Knew I shouldn't have mentioned anything to my daughter!

Still some good deals though - thanks OP.

It was posted on HUKD. I ordered 10 a few days ago through PM. The comments people left were fairly positive about the polo shirts.

    Thanks OP.

Got three men's polo shirts, a ladies polo shirt, ladies hoodie and ladies fleece jacket all for 34 euro including delivery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

The polos are great, I bought 4 of them last May for golf during the summer and they were great. Size was true for me anyway, maybe a little big.

Going in for more with this deal but the curse of Sports Direct is you go on for €10 worth of polos and end up thinking "What else do I need?" and BOOM, €100 gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

    Ottoman for £8.50.. not bad!

I asked the guys on the HUKD deal that very question and this is what a guy who bought some told me

"I got xxl so they were baggy for work and obviously incase they shrink
Id say sizing a tad small for a xxl
Im usually a xl and these are similar sized
    They still fit though"

Mine are still waiting to be picked up by YODEL so i cannot comment personally

I only wanted £7 worth of Polos, now I have two hoodies and 34 pairs of socks.

Now I need the ottoman thing to keep the socks in.

and this delightful thing. I regret nothing.

Not many mediums left. Bought 2 black and 2 charcoal. They caught me out with the magazine and free giant mug for a quid. Better be a nice mug.

The Mug is HUGE. I use it to keep all my pens, pencils, markers, scissors etc together in work.

I would not. the slazenger polo shirts which i got today are fairly on the ball re fit, in fact the large size is just about large so go with whatever you get. they are not loose fitting like other stuff. the 32inch jeans is the opposite however it fits me snugly but a pennys 32inch jeans whould not even go near me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 215 ✭✭Mike1961

Sizing was fine for me. I got a few, size L, and they fit fine

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,540 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

also went on to get the polo shirts, but came away after ordering 13 pairs of socks, pair of shoes , and 2 pairs of tracksuit pants. Also got the Mug , have to get the giant mug

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,747 ✭✭✭Wez

Got my order this morning, 8 polos, 2 tracksuit bottoms and a gum guard!

    Only wanted like 2-3 polos..

I stopped, purely because I'm still waiting for payday to go back to normal after Chrimbo.

Also, I went for XL instead of my normal L and I'm glad I did.

@moonboy52: Order more to balance the cost.. lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,204 ✭✭✭moonboy52

Well i am not sure what size box SD use to send the polo's in but i wish i had not used Parcel Motel and got it sent direct.

The box is oversized and i am getting charged €28 to get it picked up from the local Nightline Depot. The box must be huge as it only has 9 polo's in it:eek:
