I've been working out inconsistently in a home gym i've setup for the past 6 months. I have a cage, incline bench, around 200kg of weights and various bars.

I had previously been doing Starting strength and found as i'm only in the house where my gym is around 4 nights a week that I was only getting 2 workouts done due to having to take rest days in between.

I've started to do the following routine since Christmas and just wanted to get any feedback on how it could be improved. I've made it a 3 day split to be able to get done Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday as they ar ethe only consistent days I know i'll be able to train.

I'm 30, 5'10 and 170lbs. Main aims are just to feel better and put on a bit of muscle. My second stage would be then to get the body fat down a bit.

    Tuesday
    Bench - 3 x 5
    Incline dumbell bench 3 x 5
    Skull crushers 3 x 8
    Barbell bicep curls 3 x 10

    Wednesday
    Squats - 3 x 5
    Deadlifts - 2 x 5
    Leg curls - 3 x 8

    Thursday
    Pull ups - 3 x Fail
    Barbell rows - 3 x 5
    Military press - 3 x 5
    Dumbell press - 3 x 8

Just bumping this to see if anyone has any advice. Have modified what i'm currently doing slightly in the quoted text above.

I'd separate squats and deads. Don't do pull ups to failure. Are the big lifts progressing every workout?

Cheers. Yes main lifts generally progressing every workout unless i've failed for the reps. Wasn't too worried about separating the squats and deadlifts until I really start to struggle to progress (which will likely be soon enough)

If you're not struggling yet then it's not too big a deal. I got quite far doing them both on the same day to be honest.
