How do I go about terminating my New Zealand Work Visa (WHV)?

    Hey all,

My New Zealand work visa is still valid until June 2014.

I have been back in Ireland since start of November 2013
and I have to prove that I am habitually resident in
    the State.

One of the conditions of claiming social welfare to be met
is that "your VISA to remain in NZ had expired at the time
    you returned to the State".

Obviously too late for that but I am appealing.
I think it would look very well if I could prove that I am not
able to return to NZ, at least not as easily as booking
a one way ticket to NZ.

How do I go about nulling my WHV in NZ?
