How to stop Email notifications?

So anytime someone posts in a thread I'm following I get an Email telling me so. It really clogs up my inbox and does anyone know how I can opt out of this?

Once you have turned off email notification in the User CP you should also go and select all your subscribed threads (by clicking check box at the top) and selecting no email notification.
