If you quote the BT Affinity No given in the OP, then you should get the offer. If there's a big take-up, that will mean there's a lot of BT staff in Ireland:D:D:D.

This seems to the same tariff as always. This must be someone from Setanta doing some marketing as there seems no news in this 'offer'

No cancelation fee. Gave a made up company name and staff id of 6 digits, was a bit sketchy kept putting me on hold but went through for €1 for 2 months

I signed up to the offer back in December, canceled last month.

Received a letter today saying thanks for signing up to Setanta and that I have chosen to make annual payments ! ( i have not called to resign up) and the amount to be collected is €1

Ordinary call to them tonight, €12.99 a month for 2 months (then €19.99) plus a €14.99 connection one off fee.
Can't see too many knocking their doors down for that offer.

I signed up for December for offer, then continued on for Jan, Feb & March @ €9.99 per month. I'd say a lot of other posters already subscribed too. Obviously I'd be all over this offer otherwise.

I got this also during last week.

I emailed them and they got back and admitted it was sent out in error.

They then also confirmed that I am actually on the €9.99 a month for 3 months.

If I were you, I would contact them just in case.

Tried to subscribe, read op wrongly thought wears supposed to say staff member. Was 8.99 a month. Asked about the 1 euro, she said are you sure you are staff? So cancelled.......do you think I could ring back and say actually not staff but a customer or would they have put a note on the account?

Hi, I think I might be similar to you in that I got the €1 deal for December and then availed of the €9.99 deal for three months.

What day are you going to ring back to cancel or try get the deal again, i.e. before it doubles in price?

I was asked where I work. I didn't know what to say so I said my actual company's name

Was then told it was only open to employees of specific companies.

Did the conversation go differently for those who got it?

I hinted at being offered this by someone who contacted me from Setanta. Was never asked to even give the BT quote in the OP.

For those who didn't get it, I gave instructions on first few pages in.. Should of went by that, will check football fixtures after 2 months is up maybe try get the 9.99 for end of season then

Just rang to cancel - he asked why. I said because my offer is running out and 30 days notice etc. He said he can extend it for the end of May for the same price - €9.99 a month, so I took it.
