What a difference a week makes. Just seven days ago, Daniel Bryan was the people’s pariah after being denied the chance to enter the Royal Rumble Match. Now, thanks to some serendipity, he’s headed into the Elimination Chamber to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Similarly, The Shield seemed to be coming apart at the seams last week; now, in the face of a new enemy, they’ve cried unity more than ever before. Will Bryan’s momentum — and The Shield’s resolve — hold?

Main points for this weeks Monday Night Raw

    1. Justice for all (The Shield took its biggest hit ever in the Royal Rumble Match when Roman Reigns — angered by Dean Ambrose’s attempt to eliminate him, which also drew an angry reaction from Seth Rollins — eliminated both of his teammates only to be thrown over the top rope by the winner, Batista. A potential implosion was stopped, or at least delayed, when The Hounds of Justice set their sights on The Wyatt Family after the freaky tro cost The Shield their trip into the Elimination Chamber. With one more faction in WWE left to topple, can the men in black pull themselves together?)

    2. Prime Time no more (Well, we did not see this coming. One of WWE’s tightest tandems, The Prime Time Players, abruptly collapsed on SmackDown when Titus O’Neil blamed Darren Young for a quick loss to “Rybaxel” and promptly stomped his former friend into a stupor. With “The Big Deal” gone solo and D. Young reeling, what’s next for the former partners ?)

    3. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide (The Rhodes Brothers’ bid to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championships from The New Age Outlaws was abruptly derailed by an enraged Brock Lesnar, but WWE COO Triple H has granted Cody Rhodes & Goldust a Steel Cage championship rematch this Monday on Raw. With nothing to interfere in their match, can The Outlaws prove they do, indeed, still have it? Or will their “Attitudinal” victory at Royal Rumble Kickoff be proved to have been a fluke?)

    4. The most dangerous game (Alberto Del Rio promised for weeks that he’d embarrass Batista in the Royal Rumble Match. It didn’t quite work out that way, and The Essence of Excellence vowed on Monday to ensure The Animal doesn’t even make it to WrestleMania. He got a win over Kofi Kingston to start his campaign off on the right foot, but will Del Rio find his mark and hit Batista where he lives? Or is The Animal truly ready for anything the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion can throw at him?)

    5. The #YESMovement begins (Daniel Bryan has taken his first official step toward the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by claiming one of the six spots in the Elimination Chamber Match, and the WWE Universe’s legions have firmly placed themselves at his back. With John Cena, Sheamus, Antonio Cesaro, Christian and current champion Randy Orton opposing him, though, the submission specialist’s path to the WrestleMania’s main event against Batista is anything but guaranteed. Can the people’s hero keep his momentum going? Or has the other shoe simply not dropped yet for the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion?)

    Where is Raw tonight?

Raw is live from the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska

Crowd mikes to be turned off and canned fan reactions to be put out I would expect if Punk chants to take over.

I just want to see the face of the WWE lose it again when the crowd don't chant the way he wants them too.

Ah, the famous Omaha, Nebraska crowd.

    A rowdy bunch...

I expect Cole to mention this

I would also love if DB came out in a Seahawks Jersey

I think it would do serious harm to the case for a Daniel Bryan push if the crowd spent the night cheering for Punk.

I'm wondering the same. It isnt a city that is talked about a lot. Could be a blessing in disguise for WWE if it's a boring crowd who do what WWE want. The last few weeks havent exactly gone to plan.

Staple Centre in LA next week though.

The very arena in which we saw this

Before it was all snatched away by Scumbags Orton & Triple H

Nah it'd be a fairly average even slightly pro Cena crowd.

Probably a good gauge of how they'll view the Punk problem if he gets a big reaction in his absence.

Hyped for Triple H's put down of the fans

    Cmon Bad News Barrett!
I mean imagine had he been the #30 entrant at the royal rumble and then they let him announce CM Punk is gone. Insta-heel. And a quality one too. Perfect fodder for the superfaces.

That would have been weird, seeing as Punk was still in the ring when #30 arrived... :pac:

Would pop huge if Triple H came out to Cult of Personality to be honest.

    And the chants begin.

I really think they should have addressed the situation right at the start. It's not 1985 anymore and they need to start respecting their fans intelligence.

Randy did well to shut them up fairly quick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

If they keep the chants up he will snap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,116 ✭✭✭Professional Griefer

    Decent crowd.

How confusing is it when they turn face every second promo.

    Jesus.

Cena used Bryan to get over, now Triple H is at it.

To be fair the one guaranteed way to shut any cm punk chants down is mention Bryan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

HHH and Regins could be brothers from that face off profile

    Can't respect what doesn't exist!:D

WWE informing viewers that one of their featured performers over the last few years went home sulking because he didn't get his way would be a bit pointless.

Well I wouldn't phrase it like that.

A simple 'Punk won't be here tonight, we are in contact with him and will do our utmost to bring him back.'

They announced Austin leaving almost immediately.

That was quite a decent match, most Shield matches are in fairness.

Getting annoyed with all the pins that Big E is taking. Kofi or Rey could have taken it instead

    Epic creepy wyatt family promo

What happened with that BNB promo?! That was so awkward.
"I've got some news for YOU hopefully you won't be around next week." That's not news, that's hopeful thinking at best, King.

Are they really so out of ideas for Wade? :(

I like BNB, wouldn't mind seeing him back in the ring as well though.

They should have opened the show with Punks music and have Barrett come out, the heat would be insane.

You can't escape and it's not even a tornado tag.

What is the point of the cage?!

To keep Brock away. Little known fact - Brock Lesnar has a terrible phobia of old men in cages.

Brock isn't even there, is he?

Ugh, I shouldn't even be trying to make sense of this.

It is stupid, really. Didn't Cody leap off one at a house show recently? Might be using that here.

Also, that was some Punk chant. Commentary were scrambling to talk over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Funny that a commercial came along when the Punk chants got going again.

    :pac:

They said earlier Batista was going to choose who he was going to face. What was that about? WM?

    HOLY ****
