    Hi,

Someone might be able to help me. Having a bit of a problem with PAYE anytime.

I'm requesting a P21 balancing statement for last year and have my P60 here with me to put in the correct figures.

I've filled in the pay and tax, now I'm on to filling in the USC details. I've filled them in and very simply can't click confirm. Its just gray and unclickable?

Can anyone help? Its probably something minor but I can't seem to get my head around it.

    Cheers

I'm having the exact same issue SplitCartridge.

I rang Revenue this morning. The woman I spoke to said, "I have no idea. Try logging off and logging back in". Had already done that. She said, "then I don't know, sorry".

A super helpful and constructive way to spend 10 mins of my life, 9 of which I spent on hold.

Having the same issue, got the same response on the phone.

Apparently the system went down earlier in the day although it should be working after lunch. Guess all I can do is wait till then...

It's most likely that you (or maybe your spouse) are marked USC exempt for the year in question, I'm guessing 2013.

If it is the case that one spouse is USC exempt make sure you log in under the name/PPS of the spouse who is not exempt and you should be able to input the figures then.

If you're single and your pay is over 10,000 with no USC deducted you'd have a liability. If there is USC deducted try calling Revenue again and asking them to remove the USC exemption marker.

If it's none of the above I think there is a PAYE Anytime technical helpline you might need to contact.

same problem, same helpful response (with the added 'we don't talk to the IT department' when I suggested to her that she maybe should notify someone to have this fixed - as she admitted that several people had called already about an issue on the paye website...).

Still not working for me, guess I have to use snail mail to submit my expenses (this a ploy by the govmt to delay payouts? :p)

The VERY same thing happened to me for the past 2 days, after inputting USC amount paid, the button was greyed out and would not me proceed - then this morning the site was down.

I tried again half an hour agoand it let me input the figures at last - must have been something wrong with the site!:D

    Try again now!

There is a slight technical issue with inputting tax details re the Usc. It only happens in cases where the cent amount ends in zero. To fix, leave the zero out. Example 1234.50 becomes 1234.5. It should work then. It will have no effect on the outcome.

Still doesn't work. Very annoying. I've just emailed them my P60s and asked them to send a P21.

That's making no difference I'm afraid.

Without trying to sound too right wing, I wonder would this sort of nonsense happen if Revenue was being run by people who had to work to keep their jobs like the rest of us in the private sector.

That's actually ironic, seeing as Revenue have to hire in software developers as contractors to deliver their software projects...

And if it were a private company who's clients had to fulfill online functions to get things done rather than clogging up their system with the non-online versions of their requests, that private company would have the cop on to get the mistake made by their contracted software developers fixed.

Who says its not being fixed?!

15 mins on hold to speak with someone - "do it online, its much faster and easier!"

Now with this greyed out USC button, im half tempted to jump in the car and just hand it to them.

Who says its not being fixed?!

Well first off, I didn't say its not being fixed.

However since youre asking, the fact that revenue themselves are telling people that they don't deal with IT, and the fact that its nearly the end of February and nothing has changed does support both the theory that nothing is being done about it, and my point that in the private sector, an organization wouldn't be telling its clients to use their online service that is none functional for over a month and a half, while telling them over the phone that they don't deal with IT.

Also, who says it is being fixed?

it seems this is now fixed... updated requests is also working again...... IT must have rebooted the system :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭SplitCartridge

I'll try it again this evening.

To anyone in revenue who reads this thread, sorry for being so rude. But you can imagine how annoying this is, especially when you're in a financial situation where you cant afford to have your money sitting in the govts back pocket doing nothing for either the state or me.

Still not working for me, just tried it.. I see there's scheduled maintenance this evening - fingers crossed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭angeldelight

Ok I just rang the technical support helpdesk who told me that the issue is if you have more than one employer who you have to input PAYE/USC details for... they are aware of the issue and there are people working on it but she told me if I was in a hurry for a P21 to send in the paper copies of P60s. Otherwise, just wait a few weeks while the P35 details sent in by employers are uploaded onto the system from their end and request the P21 when all the details are updated

I don't know who you are, seems like you know something about them. Maybe it's being fixed, but it hasn't been fixed yet! First post was 05 Feb, today is 28 February, 13 days, very small bug, still not working!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,588 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

I don't know anything about programming, but what makes you think it's a very small bug?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,238 ✭✭✭Kaizersoze81

Having problems logging into paye anytime. Wont accept my details, telling me my details are incorrect even though im 100% sure they're right. Anyone else?

Hi folks, is anyone still having issues with this? My wife's USC payments were not on my P21 balancing statement (joint assess.) so when I go to request a new one there should be an option to input the correct figures but there is nothing other than submit request....any advice or update on the issues above?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,115 ✭✭✭cunnifferous

Yep isin't working for me either, bit of a joke. I have two employers so I dunno if that's where the glitch stems from?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,215 ✭✭✭galah

It worked for me about 2 weeks ago, was finally to input all the figures, and submit them, but still waiting for p21 from revenue. We also had 2 different employers etc...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but it appears the issue is still not fixed. Anyone ever figure out workarounds. They have an old employer on my records (who I did not work for in 2014), which I think is causing this 2 employers issue.

Can they delete the 2nd employer if I ring them up, or can they put in my details manually if I ring in with the numbers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭angeldelight

If you ring them they should remove the old employer, I've done that before

Took a minute on the phone (after 10 minute wait), apparently my old employer put a date in 2014 for me leaving even though they had let me go long before that. He just changed the date to 31/12/2013.

Apologies for a further bump, but just in case anyone is experiencing the same issue I have just been on the phone to revenue and they confirmed that it is a 'known issue' and will be resolved for Monday the 9th of February.

I don't know if this is connected, but when I go in there are no details at all on system of our income.

Last year I had to input them, but there is nowhere for me to click to input details this year!

When you request a P21 balancing statement , you will see the options to manually enter your P60 figures for pay, tax paid and USC

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue, the USC box is still greyed out for me! Does anyone know what to do? Who do I contact in Revenue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,215 ✭✭✭galah

looks like it's the same ding dong every year?
Same issue again, as reported around the same time last year. FFS.
