Homemade Smoothie / Shakes Advice

For the 2/3 weeks i have been trying to increase my fruit and veg intake from basically 0 to having a smoothie a day and juicing etc.

So far i have been on track and made a smoothie every morning going to work. I've also been training 4 (sometimes 5 times) a week. Noticing a huge change in the mornings although can be a bit of a slump in the PM in work i am generally full of energy and feeling better about myself generally and am sure i've dropped weight but im not a slave to the scales either.

    My question is:

Typical smoothie i would make is

    Spinach
    Banana (x2 normally sometimes 1)
    Kiwi (sometimes left out)
    Low fat Yog
    Scoop of porridge oats
    Small teaspoon of Spirulina
Topped up with carrot&apple&lemon juice i've juiced

I am just wondering as i seem to be on autopilot a bit now in the morning reaching for the same ingredients but how good is it to be taking so much of these ingredients on a daily basis? Like i would never have eaten two bananas or this much fruit. And tbh it's not having the wonderous effect that so much fibre would have either.

EDIT: Also any nice quick simple smoothie recipes that are your favourites would be welcomed

Essentially comes down to what your goals are, weight loss, gain etc? Those shakes are pretty dense in calories and are great for gaining weight but you gotta be a bit careful if you are trying to lose weight.

The over all plan is to lose weight, im probably 1.5 stone overweight for my size. the training i've been doing has been doing the losing the inches thing and in general i knew i needed to get more fruit and veg into me. Smoothies was the answer to that i think!
You're right when you look at it, there is a lot going into each smoothie , I migth cut back on the amount of fruit in each one.

Really you should be looking to try an get more vegetable juice (particular green veggies) rather than just fruit. Smoothies are ok but still fairly high on sweet scale. Obviously a million times better than a bowl of processed cereal but maybe aim to begin substituting some ingredients for ones slightly higher on the greener scale... eg replace bananas with avocados, add celery and cucumber juice etc.

I make a green juice which consists of cucumber, celery, lime, ginger and 1/2 one small apple. It tastes nicer than it sounds!

I'm finding blending so much easier than juicing. Can I blend veg into a smoothie?
