Just joined the gym. I reckon I am carrying around 15 kilos of excess weight at the moment. I would like to get to 90 kilos but be a strong 90 kilos.
Is it possible to reach my goal with spending hours on cardio? so instead spend my gym time on the machines/free weights?

Just use more calories than you intake and you'll lose weight , whether you do this through eating less , exercising more makes no difference the outcome is the same.

Building more muscle will raise your Resting metabolic weight and further fuel your weight loss.

    Good luck!

You lose weight by restricting calories. If you want most of that weight to be fat rather than muscle, you lift weights as heavy as you can, and eat lots of protein (min 0.8g protein/lb of bodyweight)

Use one of the many TDEE calculators online (e.g. iifym.com ) to calculate your daily requirements, then eat 500-1000kcal under that per day to lose 1-2lbs per week. Track EVERYTHING you eat using myfitnesspal.com for convenience. There is literally nothing else to losing weight.
