    ok im 6 ft 3 and fourteen stone but lately ive got big in the gut area

    for breakfast I have a small bowl of muesli , followed by half a banana , half a red apple , half an orange and a desert spoon of greek yogurt , I blend and drink from a glass ( in reality I make this smoothie every two days so its a full one of each fruit + two spoons of yogurt eaten over two mornings )

    dinner is in the middle of the day at 2 pm , either a fried pork chop , a chicken breast ( roasted in oven ) , fish ( oven cooked ) or steak ( fried ) , mixed veg and two large boiled potatoes

    after dinner I have around four rich tea biscuits with a cup of tea or coffee

    evening tea is salad which is one of those ready to use bowls which has plum tomatoes , pepper , cucumber , carrot , lettuce , spinach etc , I also have a slice of ham and down a cup of tea with a slice of brown bread

    I always have a can of larger around ten pm plus I will eat a pizza around one nigh per week or instead a box of pringles , at weekends I drink around four pints of beer on average and myself and my girlfriend go out for dinner around once per fortnight which includes some form of desert in the evening

    I will have ice cream for after dinner desert at least one day per week

    exercise is non existant right now as im recovering from numerous injurys sustained in an accident ( a while back ) so I cant really run or cycle and certainly cant use the gym , I do walk the dog each day which is a mile of a walk

    Have you read through the stickies in this forum? If not, start there. Work out how many calories you need daily. Then I'd plug everything you're eating into myfitnesspal and see how many calories you're actually eating. Reduce to loose weight.

    Briefly some obvious things that stand out;
    Muesli is full of sugar and the recommended serving size is miniscule. If you weigh out 30g of it, it looks like dust in the bottom of the bowl. Your smoothie also contains quite a bit of sugar from the fruit. Again myfitnesspal will tell you how much sugar and calories are in your breakfast. Porridge or eggs would be a better choice and probably keep you full for longer.

    Obviously the 4 biscuits aren't great. Maybe have two in the evenings as a treat.

    Portion size is vital. I'd invest in a small digital food scales. You can pick one up in Argos for less than €20. You soon get used to appropriate portion sizes so it's not as if you need to weigh your food forever.

    Main point though, read the stickies

    Theres alot of sugar there dude and your possibly over eating. Have you looked into a low carb diet? It will abolish cravings and you could still include certain beers and takeaways at the weekend. . . .
