They’re against the death penalty but for abortion.
They wear a mass produced Che Guevara tshirt to prove how anti-capitalist they are
Anti-American but support Iran
They buy over-priced Apple products
They study a liberal arts course e.g. “gender studies” because they’re not smart enough for science
They allow emotion to overrule logic

Actually not really. Working in Foxconn - where everything else is also produced - is one of the best jobs in China.

I know I'm dealing with a liberal when any point of view outside the prevailing liberal one is met with a condescending smile and they're not really listening to you anyway. A card-carrying liberal is insufferably smug and intolerant of views other than their own. This is because they have arrived at all their world views through education, enlightenment, reason and intellect. If you disagree with them, you therefore must be arguing from a position of benighted ignorance.

I know I'm dealing with a conservative when (a) their sister and their wife is one and the same person, (b) they are impervious to logic, facts and statistics. Things just ARE the way they say they are, because they say that's the way they are. And (c) there is no morally complex issue that cannot be boiled down to a folksy platitude. It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Oh and (d) the Bible is the final word on many subjects because it's the unadulterated word of God. Even if only about 20 lines in entire tome are actually the alleged direct words of God. Screw your science. I have Leviticus.

Both sets are vile pains in the plums to have to deal with.

What are you talking about. Seriously. I just looked at my posts to see if there could be any ambiguity in what "where" I was referring to, and no there wasn't. Replying to your post on Foxconn I said it was "where" all smartphones were made and where the sucide rate was lower than the West ( since then I edited it to say lower than the US and China).
