I think Alaska airlines will have the longest route with Kona to Anchorage at about 2,900 miles in a 737-800.

This is the same as Boston to Ireland. So could a 737-800 operate that?

Surprised no one has mentioned that Arik Air used to operate the 738 between London Heathrow and Lagos. 6h43. It was a regulare scheduled flight. I think they also used to do the Abuja flight aswell!

Flyglobespan used to do Knock and Glasgow to Boston and sometimes even JFK on the 737. Captain once told me that his record airborne time in the 737 was 7hrs 59 mins!

Occasionally if there was strong headwinds they'd have to tech stop on the way for fuel.

Don't think they ever operated a 738 as a scheduled equipment.

I think the scheduled equipment was a 757-2 with a 738 being plugged in in technical situations

Fuel stop at Keflavik was regular in the event of 738 ops I believe.

It won't need a fuel stop out of Ireland. It is 3,200 miles range.

SAS have announced Stavanger to Houston today on a 737-700. Albeit a BBJ with the higher range involved there. All business class seating.

Think the BBJ is a 50 seater business class as you said and a range of 6000nm, its crazy to think

Three pilots and one (although I'd be absolutely sure they'll have more) FA I believe. Flight time is a bit over 9 hours in the eastbound direction. Because its business class you'd want to ensure there's at least one FA available to pax at any given time and they'll probably have more than 1 to expedite service too.
