I have no players in the sunderland southampton game.. Think it'll be worth watching or is it likely to be an uneventful game?

Likewise. Take the missus shopping and build up some goodwill for tomorrow's games.

Never had a situation in previous seasons where I was concentrating more on beating a rival instead of aiming for a high finish in the overall league. Normally I aim to finish top 10k but he is doing so well I'll probably have to finish top 5k to beat him!

Differential watch, its my Mannone, Sagna, Silva, Lukaku vs his Mignolet, Kolorov, Eriksen, Adebayor. Not even sure who's favourite here! A 6 pointer from Mannone would get me off to a cracking start. Come on VITO :)

I've got 6 out of the front 7. I'm still juggling between Sterling or Lallana to start though.

I've got 3 out of the 3 in the back:D

    J-Rod goal already

At least they got the goal out of the way early! Sick of getting f**ked over at the end of games. All I can ask now is no CS for Boruc!

    assist?

There'll be a lot of disgruntled managers after that goal. I'd say the majority of J Rod owners have him benched.

Benching J Rod this week would be terrible, there's no way the majority have him benched.

Anyone support Mark Noble for a start? He takes penos, free kicks, corners etc and now big Andy is in the box to aim for after injury......must be worth a punt!

I will never ever take him again into my team. Had him for first 5 weeks, and got rid of him at the right moment. Better alternatives out there for me.

Why would you bench J-Rod against Sunderland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,982 ✭✭✭Liamalone

BBC website says Southampton's lead is "fully deserved" ......... They have only played 4mins ffs

From the few teams I've seen they all have him benched in favour of a very strong midfield. My cup opponent has him benched for a midfield of Silva, Yaya, Ozil, Lallana and Hazard.

would you have played him ahead of an arse pool or city player today?
those three make up 8 of my team and im sure its the same
    with a lot of others
baines eriksen lallana the other three i had to choose from
wasnt an easy choice and i hate benching a striker

    hope he stops there :D

I would have had J Rod playing if I hadn't have had transferred him out for Aguero. Here's hoping Aguero can score 10 points or so!

J Rod should of scored again there

    Clowns tbh

I'll still be looking to bring in some Southamption defensive cover for home matches and once Wanyama is back, they'll tighten up defensively even further.

Em Lalla please get something in this match, thank you and amen.

Now that the CS is gone I'd just like to see Mannone pick up some save points.

I benched him as mentioned earlier in the thread. Had to start 2 of him, Lallana and Wilshire and went with the latter 2.

Wilshire for me was a 1 week punt before getting Ramsey in, and Lallana was the Southampton player I didn't want to lose out on if he gets points as a lot of rivals have him.

In hindsight, I should have benched Wilshire for Rodriguez, as a few on here advised to do. But I didn't, just hope it doesn't prove to be too costly!

I don't expect anything from Mannone. 2 points would be a result! Haven't had any decent points return from a keeper since about 1942.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

mannone is my only interest in this game, glad the southampton cs is gone though as i left shaw as my second sub and a few people around me have fonte.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

twitter is going to have a lot of traffic in around 10 minutes time, refresh refresh refresh on the city page.

as someone who held off getting aguero i think he could be equally as dangerous playing the last 30 minutes, when smaller clubs go away to big clubs they can be hard to break down at 0-0, but once that first goal goes in the floodgates often open then as they have to change tactics.
look at the blackburn game, held out for 45 minutes then the goals flew in. aguero coming on for the last half hour with city 2 up could be more dangerous than aguero starting and trying to break cardiff down.
all depends really on how early city score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Mannone save point. Think the only time Boruc has touched the ball was to take it out of his own net.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 661 ✭✭✭masti123

really need Lallana to get something
