Doesn't matter as it's out of stock now anyhow.
But to answer your question use your Parcel Motel info for postal code, phone etc.

Just enter you full address comma delimited
    e.g.
    1 Main Street, Cork, Ireland

    Worked for me.

Did anyone else pay delivery charge to Parcel Motel?

When I tried to get one earlier today I thought I remembered seeing a free delivery option. However now I was charged £3.30 delivery charge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭biebiebie

    Ordered, thanks op.
So now the waiting game begins...until the dispatch notification the order may be cancelled <biting nails>

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 417 ✭✭mcg1987

strange...I did exactly that the last time and it didn't work then this time I did exactly the same and it has gone through!

i don't care that it's only USB 2.0 either before people come on blathering about speeds etc...this is serious value for the money!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 607 ✭✭✭BroLo

Just a heads up. I have one of these. It's actually USB 3.0, if the images are of the right one. No idea on the quality of the speeds on USB 3.0 as I've only ever used it on USB 2.0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 417 ✭✭mcg1987

it says usb 2.0 on the spec on both links that's all i'm going on

If the images are right the connection is a USB 3.0 connection, not a proprietary USB connection.

Just a quick one, how do you register your address? Is PM the only option? And if so how do you put in your PMID? And what is the phone number you're using?

Can't get the billing address to work at all!

Can't get the billing address to work at all!

Use the NI parcel motel address.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 991 ✭✭✭on_my_oe

I couldnt get the billing address to work either! In the end I said to use the Parcel Motel Address instead, and it worked... which worries me a little.

Great spot! I was gutted when I saw all the 'expired' messages earlier and I thought I'd missed this offer.. late night studying for exams was worth it ;)

1TB is out of stock again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 870 ✭✭✭WildCardDoW

Got it in, but had no ID on it for delivery, gah! Have to try sort it tomorrow!

I registered address as the PM one.
On your Tesco account change your Name to "Brolo Bloggs" and your Surname to PMID(123456).
I used the PM Belfast one 08454008008

You need to enter your address like this
    First Name: Joe Bloggs
    Second Name : PmOneTwoThreeFourFive.

Works fine and doesn't cause any hassle in the depot. That's actually the way a PM rep said to input it in cases where numbers are not allowed.

Tried my PMID as my surname and it said only characters and apostraphes so i put it in my screen name.

I just used the 0289... number in the end. Didn't get in fast enough though.

You're able to edit the address at final checkout on Tesco Direct, allowing you to enter your PMID numerically e.g.

    First name: Joe Bloggs

    Surname : PM12345 Parcel Motel

So the full address presents on the package as:

    Joe Bloggs PM12345 Parcel Motel
    Nightline Logistics
    1A McKinney Road
    Newtownabbey
    BT36 4PE

My friend lives in the Uk, and had their order cancelled too - lack of stock apparently. They ordered after it became available to buy the second time.

What date and time did you order?
I think we can safely assume every order after that point will also suffer the same fate.

I bought this very drive in Tesco Gorey about two weeks ago for €35. None left there now but might be worth keeping an eye out elsewhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭biebiebie

Post after post on HotUKDeals of orders being cancelled due to the orders being taken when no stock was available to fulfill them.

I haven't noticed anyone saying that they got a dispatch.

So not looking too promising? What do you reckon?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 926 ✭✭✭styron

It's an oldish model (2011) - surprising they had significant units to put it on line in the first place and then to "restock" it after the first wave of orders ... fishy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭biebiebie

Just checked my credit card and see that payment was taken on the 14th. Still nothing dispatched though.
