GERD and muscle gain.

I've been to the doctor and he believes I have GERD. I really love my gym and have made gains during the summer but have stopped going since college started. I was hoping to start back after college exams but now I'm a bit worried I won't be able to make gains.

I can't seems to handle a large amount of food like I used to. It sometimes comes back up if I eat too much. I know I should be eating small meals, however I dont think I can make up for a lot of calories this way.

Does anyone else suffer from GERD and if so how have they get around it in terms of building muscle? What's your diet like? etc.

I've got something very similar, but it didn't really affect my ability to get enough calories. However, it can really limit the intensity if my training due to nausea.

I bulked from October until last week and had no problem eating enough, in fact I ate too much. The only thing that ever had a really bad effect on my stomach was extra lean mince, and that was more down to preparing it badly and eating waaay too much at once.

Aside from the usual suspects of oats, potatoes, milk, eggs and heaps of meat - I like nuts, they've got more calories packed into physically smaller portions, so I never found myself having to horse down a huge plate of pasta or something like that which may not agree with me.
