    ................ I'm Back !!!!!!

and here is what I discovered over the last week:

    1.
The toaster/kettle saga. You're having tea and toast. It will never matter that you have spent each day trying to make this happen in many different ways...but If the toast pops and your starting to butter it - the kettle boils. If your stirring your tea and about to add milk - the toast pops.

If you move the toaster to the same counter top as the kettle and press the toaster button with your left hand and the kettle button with your right at the same exact second - it still doesnt work because its 99% of the time its too early to function that well and you still end up with spasticated versions of one or the other because you have to rush to get both done in an orderly fashion.

    And thats just breakfast.

    SO WTF ????

    2.
When you ask someone what they fancy for dinner and they give you a straight answer. Wow, WOW I was just asking to be polite, I don't want that - FCUK - now thats what I am bleedin' getting.

    3.
When your mate starts seeing your OH's mate. And they ring you non stop to 'find out if he likes me', 'can you get (the OH) to see what (OH's mate) is up to cos he's not answering his phone' .................. and then
............. when they start riding and you're actually interested in the details you get 'I dont kiss and tell'

    Geebags

    4.
Quickies (that never are quick) in the morning.... shattered by 3pm.

    5.
When you take off to the glorious countryside and the sun is shining high and your listening to Neil Young tunes with the window down, shades on and the OH is smiling and its lovey dovey and then .....
You get that HOT CUMM'Y SHI'T smell from the fields

Please don't report me to child protection, if they come and search my house, they might find all the cannabis growing in my attic.

If you are really concerned, I appreciate it. For the record, the initial part of my original post is correct, my "kids" are well beyond requiring a babysitter.

I keep mine in the hot press, right beside the brown envelopes. The 5-0 know what to do... :pac:

    Meanwhile -

"Do you want your jacket, it looks like rain?"

    "What? No, Jesus I'm roasting!"

    And in 3, 2...

Pisses out of the heavens! All you can do is laugh -

Graces7, unfortunately you don't seem to be set up for PMs. This is After Hours and threads in AH do what threads in AH do. It took me a while to fully appreciate the unique nature of the forum. Have a read at the charter. It's all very tongue in cheek here and wonderful for it. :)

When you buy a bottle of fizzy water and have to do the whole opening/ closing the lid 3 or 4 times before you can actually open it. And it still fizzes up and you get soaked :(

I finally drank the 2 litre bottle of water yesterday that I bought the previous Wednesday. I refilled it with tap water and still haven't drank any of it yet. So adopting a healthier fluid intake isn't working. Neither is healthy eating. I decided to 'nibble on a few' pringles last night, looked this morning and I'd eaten half a tube. Cue a bout of self loathing. Now I need some oral gratification, steady,(cake) to get over the self-loathing:D

:DMine are all well beyond requiring a babysitter, I let the eldest (she is almost 9) mind the other two, unless it is a for longer than a weekend........

Seriously though, it seems these days (did I really say that) there is the "list" that is issued to the minder of said offspring.

Summer - only gets half a yogurt
Arapahoe - Banana (must be mashed)
Matt Talbot Bridge - No alcohol

And all to be in bed by 6.30

Yes, of course I leave a 9 yr old in charge of the smaller kids for the weekend, and they have to careful with the chip pan. Any problems and they can run to Mr & Mrs West next door

    ah well

i/m off..expect child protection round hopefully soon.

I would have thought it was obvious I was joking....

Grace7, it seems to me, you are spoiling for an argument. I notice on the "Scum preying on drunk people" thread, you remark about women who dress provocatively, invite rape. Has to be one of the worst comments on AH.

What is provocative? A very short skirt? a short skirt? a skirt??

    Are you undercover Taliban??

Painkillers. I'm trying to avoid Tramadol as it gives me a headache and makes me queasy(

Stock up on it - you might be able to sell it to racing cyclists !

BTW some say SKY calling for a ban is a bit ironic

I was in hurry this morning so I just threw a basic tshirt on to go with the skirt. Only realised now that the tshirt is quite see through! Mortified.
What kind of a world is this when you can't even rely on a basic black tshirt!?

Hold music, in general. Although my favourite is the one on Fr Ted where the nun sings into the phone as hold music. :D
I also hate the 'all operators are busy at present...' repeated at 10 second intervals.

"All operators are drinking tea and gabbing at their colleagues desks while your call flashes like a little red light in the dark" at present...but you are a valued customer...pwomise...

PTSB laughing at me when I apply for an overdraft, and still allowing the account to become overdrawn for a 3 euro transaction and then charging me for it. B*stards.
