    Hi Guys,

I have a slipped/prolapsed disc in my back causing severe sciatic pain down my left glute/hamstring. i'm awaiting an MRI which may take some time. Can anyone recommend a physio in the ranelagh area that is particularly good with backs that I can attend to in the interim to alleviate the pain?

    Thanks in advance

I saw a sign for a physio on Moyne Road in Ranelagh, just beside Mortons. Not sure if they're any good though.

I go to Zest Therapies on Suffolk St, there's a physio in there but she's also qualified in Massage Therapy so she can do a mixture of treatments depending on what you need, I find her brilliant as I dislocated my shoulder years ago and it really acts up in winter.

Ranelagh Physio (as above) or Archview on Ranelagh Rd (I use these guys for C6/7 disk bulge), if possible get GP referral note & request a senior physio (I.e. practice owner, at least for first session or two) as both are good but several newly qualified physios.

    Good luck!

I've heard good things about The Spine Clinic on the south circular road - only 5 mins from ranelagh.

I believe the physio mentioned above worked with Leinster rugby and is good. Alternatively Caroline McHugh in raw condition gym (Portobello) just across rathmines is good and helped me with back issues in the past.

Ed Cox (Chiropractor... I know I know) at Rathmines bridge is great for a manipulation if you are into that sort of thing

Do not get a manipulation if you have a disc bulge!!
