Have a look at your team from week 1. Any players that stick out as "what in gods name was I doing picking him"?

Just had a look there, Giaccherini of Sunderland and Schneiderlin from Southampton were two for me.

Other than that, not too bad really. If i'd catered for injuries to Benteke, Michu and Gerrard and had Suarez, wouldn't be too bad.

Anelka - scored in 1 game all season and allegedly tried to retire at one point  I was never convinced it was a good idea but did it anyway.

1 player since the start - Big Jim Chester

Still have Mignolet, Boruc, Chester and Coleman from the start. The rest are all gone even though Walcott and Mertesacker are back again. Soldado started off with a promising 9 points, downhill from there!

Anelka, Navas and John from Cardiff the big fails. Overall not terrible though

    Mignolet/Boruc
    Terry/Mertesacker/Toure/Shaw/John
    Hazard/Lampard/Walcott/Navas/Huddlestone
    Sturridge/Soldado/Anelka

Mignolet and Terry the 2 ever presents

Mirallas is the only one that didn't really work out.

But it's fair enough if somebody like Mirallas or Navas didn't work out.....still weren't bad picks. Had Mirallas myself but think it was fair enough. Never forgive myself for Anelka. Up there with Robbie Keane at the start of 2010 I think when 'Arry clearly didn't fancy him

    I got 85 points in GW 1.

    .............Mignolet.(15).......

    K Toure (5)...Mert (1)...Garrido (1)

    Mirallis (2)..Barkely (10)..Coutihno (3)....Hazard C (16)

    RVP (12).......Benteke (18)......Lukaku (2)

Didn't keep Lukaku for long. Then he went goal crazy for a while.Hazard was transferred a couple of times (I seemed to time the transfers wrong with him though) Mirallis didn't work out as I expected.

Soldado the dodgy 1, along with Ramirez, Livermore and Brayford. I had gotten rid of Soldado by the time he stopped scoring penos aswell so that one was a lucky win.

Lescott, Cole and Collins all in my defence and they've all gone through runs of not being in the team, but they all started the season well and were shipped out to little impact.

My downfall this year was my unwillingness to go with what I considered to be a bandwagon. Which was what made me top 5k the year before. This year those players (Ramsey, Mertesacker, Coleman and Yaya Toure) seem to explain why nearly everyone else good is above 12k and I'm slightly below

    I got 73 points:

    Mignolet
    Koscielny Ivanovic Lescott
    Hazard Walcott Mirallas Coutinho
    Lukaku Soldado Dzeko

    Harper, Ward, Morrisson, Chester.

Harper is the only ever present I've had. Lukaku, Hazard, Walcott and Ward are all back in my squad but had periods out of it.

i got 81 points, which ive bettered just once since

    Mignolet
    Mert-Baker-G.Johnson-Coleman
    Routledge-Cazorla-Hazard
    Graham-Soldado-RvP

    K.Davis Snodgrass Puncheon McCartney

Mig Coleman and K.Davis the only ever presents

Didn't see that we were posting points from week 1 also, 90.

    83 points

    Mig
    Terry Collins Lescott
    Gerrard Walcott Mirallas Hazard
    Lukaku Benteke Anelka

Boruc Whittigham Mickey Turner and Coleman on the bench.

Yup All 13 points of Coleman sitting on the bench.

Have clocked up 30 transfers since then but can't say the team is much stronger as a result.

Got 94 that first week, this was the team:
    Mignolet

    Coleman Ivanovic Zabaleta

    Koren Walcott Coutinho Hazard

    Giroud Dzeko Sturridge

    SUBS:De Gea Morrison Garrido Baker

Coleman and Baker <:pac: are the only ever-presents. I have no real regrets, just disappointed that Koren didn't perform at all for me.

    I captained Crouch.

    I win this thread.

In my defence it was my first ever week, never played FPL before and didn't even realise that a captained player got double points!

    Got 55 points that week.

Currently at 171,249 so not doing too bad for a newbie.

I benched Coleman too, and has Koscielny sent off. That coupled not having RVP meant I scored a pitiful 67 in GW1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

    I had coleman !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,418 ✭✭✭✭8-10

    Krul and Chester ever-present

Never have, never will have Coleman

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

oh my, i only got a mere 61 in week 1. Have improved massively since then and have only dipped below 50 in a couple of gameweeks.

    Team was
    Cech
    Vidic- coleman*-mert*
    Coutinho_-Hazard*-Walcott- Mirallas
    Dzeko-Giroud-Lukaku

    *players still in my team.

A 70 in GW2 really pushed me up the leaderboards. Haven't really looked back since.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,024 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

    71 points

    Cech

    Mert-Terry-Coleman-Zab

    Hazard(C)-Mirallas-Coutinho-Walcott

    Bony-Podolski

Had high hopes for Coutinho based on pre-season and Bony based on his record in Holland , neither worked out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 547 ✭✭✭shayno90

    76 points

    Mignolet

    Coleman Turner Mertesacker

    Walcott Coutinho Hazard(c) Nolan

    Soldado Dzeko Lukaku

    Subs
    Kelvin Davis Mirallas Ward Chester

Good start but got rid of Coleman, Mertesacker, Walcott, Hazard and Lukaku during wildcard to my points detriment and got them all back gradually.
Still attempting to get back to my week 2 overall high rank of 273k plus, have not kept any player since the start.

Note to self, don't get into the hype of getting Mickey Turner at start of each season :)

    Here's my beauty:

    1t0qq1.jpg

I remember Ivanovic was only in over Coleman for the DGW and was brought in immediately, as was the plan whether he scored or not.

Pretty happy with that team now I must say, not too many flops and Soldado and RVP had a good 1st GW too. J-Rod was there way before he was cool too. Just a pity it took him like 8 GWs to score :pac:

    Hazard*(C), Mata, Bellamy, Mirallas

    Bony, Soldado, Aspas(:pac:)

    Bourc, Turner, Dikgacoi, Ward*

    *Still in team

    Lallana - Walcott - Hazard (c)- Mirallas

93 points. A great start. Only fail was going with second fiddles (at that time at least) Mirallas, Dzeko and Lukaku.

Overall not too displeased with this initial team despite only Mignolet being everpresent (and he will be gone when I'll have played the Jan WC). They all served me well (except Mirallas and to a lesser extent Dzeko who failed GW1 and 3 (C) but got me a good score GW2 (C)). Got Lukaku, Ivanovic (well Terry but that was the plan anyway), Morrison, Ward (well Gabbidon but that's the same idea), Hazard and Walcott back. Got my rotations mainly wrong with Mig and Boruc.

Another great start here from me with 94 points... It went downhill quickly.

Major blooper was picking Azpilicueta in my team thanks to my mate convincing me to start him... wasn't on the forum at the time, that cost me breaking 100.

94 points, and only 6 points from my front 2 of Anelka (who auto subbed for Azpil) and Dzeko

Edit: Major blooper was Cleverly :(

I had Ricky the Wolf GW1 but he scored that week. He was gone in week 2 or 3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 437 ✭✭WealthyB

Got a lovely 100 points in week 1. Mignolet's penalty save was the icing on the cake but I remember I was raging at the time I didn't captain Benteke instead of Hazard - always chasing more points!

Only Marshall and Coleman have survived my many many purges

No one can blame you for Mata. That was completely out of the blue from Jose.

    In fairness..
Mata was last years sensation but the warning signs were there pre-season
    Anelka was the bargain purchase,
Kone I thought would be a starter under Martinez
Paulihno had a reputation for being a box-to-box MF with goals in him
    Morrison... fair enough :)

As with any FF season we all find ourselves re-evaluating players very quickly.
