Is it acceptable for a male to ask for a female masseuse?

    For the past few months I've been considering getting a massage as I feel it would be quite relaxing and help with some back pain I've been having.
    One fear I have is booking an appointment and ending up with another guy, as I wouldn't feel comfortable being rubbed down by another guy. Would I be seen as a pervert if I requested a female masseuse? Or would this be common?

    may I ask why you have an issue with a bloke doing it ?
    A massage is NOT a sexual thing ( I realise some folk find it difficult believe that )
    if you were going deep tissue a bloke would most likely be stronger and may be able to go harder for longer.

    Honestly, I understand a massage is not a sexual thing at all, but I just don't think I'd feel comfortable with another guy doing it, after I go and get a massage for the first time my opinion might change, but for now, I feel I'd find it uncomfortable.
