Wrong forum, should really be in the terrestrial forum.

Is the aerial mounted outside and could it have moved during the recent stormy weather? You're only receiving one (Mux2) of the two frequencies used for Saorview, Mux1 carries the missing channels.

Yes the aerial is outside i thought it could have been moved but didnt realise there is two frequencies carrying channels. I thought once rte1 was working the others should. Is there much to readjusting the dish? Could i do it myself? Thanks

Is the problem with a dish or aerial? Saorview is received with an aerial.

Theres no aerial either in the attic or outside so. I thought the dish was picking it up. There is upc in the sitting room which i have split the cable to an old upc connection point in the bedroom. This had worked up until now?
The channel list u sent there makes sense and corresdonds to the tv

You may be in a strong Saorview signal area and the internal cabling may be acting as an aerial, borderline reception.

What's your recommended transmitter and how far away is it? Use the Saorview coverage checker to find it if you don't already know - http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

Maghera is a powerful main transmitter so that could explain it.

A set top aerial like this might work at your location if the signal is good enough where you mount it - http://cpcireland.farnell.com/mercury/sto2/set-top-aerial-olympik-2/dp/AP00025

Saorview always recommend an outdoor aerial.

Ya ill probably have to give one of those aerials a go. Why do u think my previous method decided to stop picking it up though? Thanks a million for your help much appreciated.

At a guess I'd say the signal is borderline at the TV and with digital if the signal falls below a certain level, the so called digital cliff, the channels can disappear.
