    Hey all

    Just wonder if rows in the push up position are a good exercise for lats and core together

    Yeah apparently they're quite good for core stability. Keeping the form strict is important.
    There's variations you can do. They're in my current program using 12kg kettle bells. Unfortunately I can't do them without falling flat on my face. Working on it though. Obviously round dumbbells are more difficult than hex, and heavier dumbbells are more difficult in keeping stable on the pull. Separating your feet gives you more stability while you're getting used to it etc.

    These wouldn't really work your back as the amount of weight you could use would be limited by your ability to not face plant. So I would call it a core exercise. If you want Lat/Core work then look to chinups.

    Well did a few the other day, first time doing them managed 18kg fairly ok but certainly felt my abs the next day, just trying to get a little variation into my gym sessions

    If you tried then in a bent over row position you could probably lift 24kg or higher. Which was the point above

    Well I'm just looking for a different exercise to routine in, I did 28kg one arm rows the same day, just looking for something to work core and improve stability and balance
