UPDATE: Please read last post, updated. Thank You!!!
    Hey guys,

    Here is what is happening:
    - I have not gotten sleep in the past 24 hours. No a second of sleep.
    - It is now 9:48AM and am still unable to get to sleep, so will have to stay up for this whole day again.
    - I DON'T want to do but I don't have a choice. My sleep pattern must be back by next week for study.

I would like your advice on what to do to help improve my day without sleep.
    Any certain foods for boosts,etc?.

    MAIN NOTE:
The main issue is the feeling of when your completely loosing it and zoning out, Tips regarding that is GREATLY APPRECIATED . ALL ARE, THANK YOU.

    Anything is appreciated, thank you.

A two-hour nap will improve your energy and concentration levels without disrupting your sleep pattern. I'd be more focussed on working out why you haven't slept in 24 hours rather than trying to keep yourself awake.

I've done this loads , used to work all different kind of shifts.
Sleep for 3 hours, you'll need a good alarm clock.

Avoid driving till your fully rested. If you go out tonight for NYE don't drink much you'll be asleep at the bar.

How's your stress levels...? Worried about anything in particular?

Yes I would also question the reason for your lack of sleep? I have had this before and it has always been down to stress or anxiety. If it continues as it is for you with no sleep I would take a trip to your gp to discuss this issue with them. Sleep is vital for our mental and physical well being.

    Hi all,

    Thank You very much.
Yes, I was very stimulated, and became very stimulated around 3am reading and leaning about everything in a magical way,
Now it has indeed taken a tool on me, I can not function so good and is unable to get to sleep,

I am listing to science proven song that includes the first wave of alpha sleep and reduce heart rate, etc.
half an hour of it and i feel amazing, still going to do it more and more and then I gget to sleep tonight

    thank you all berry much.

A good tip i've heard of is to lay off the shrooms.

Apparently going for a walk at sunrise, then at sunset, can help reset the body clock.

    Or camping:

    Hey guys,
THANK YOU ALL VERY VERY MUCH.

I fell asleep around 2pm, and woke up at 10pm (now eta time).

    PLAN OF ACTION:
=> I am going to have to stay up for the whole of tonight and tomorrow with out any sleep.

    - I CAN NOT SLEEP NO MATTER WHAT.
    - THE MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO KEEP FULLY AWAKE AND NOT GET TO SLEEP.

I NEED EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING REGARDING YOUR OPINIONS,ADVICE,ETC.

Which drinks or which will keep me awake?.

    Thank You.

Surely getting to sleep now but waking up at your usual time tomorrow would be a lot smarter than staying awake for a full day?

Based on the way you've been posting lately I really think you should just go talk to a doctor.

You need to tire yourself out dude. Fill the bath and go for a swim.

Insomnia is a curse that I would not wish upon anybody. Here is a list of what has worked for me:

Reduce drinking of alcohol. Alcohol messes up sleep cycles.

Get more exercise. Helps makes you feel drowsy when you need it. Helps everything, really.

Get up at 7 or 8 am. It helps later on.

Read a slightly dull book before you go to bed. This sends me to sleep after a few pages. Stieg Larsson Dragon Tattoo stuff sends me right off. Do not read a text book or anything requiring concentration or effort before bed. That will make your mind work hard instead of relaxing.

No exciting TV in the hour before bed. if necessary, read that dull book that was mentioned earlier. Absolutely no horror films or gory films. If Saw is on telly, definitely consider giving it a miss.

No computers of any sort before bed. The bright screen keeps the mind awake. Seriously. Again, reading a boring book will help you fall asleep.

Camomile tea. Not very manly, I'd agree. If you have insomnia, you won't be so picky as to worry about that, and you might risk it. Sure, nobody's going to be up to spot you.☺

I reckon that stress is what keeps most people awake, really, I just know enough to say that I'm not qualified to help in that area. But I did my best otherwise.
