Tonight's WWE Monday Night Raw is a special "Raw New Years" episode, live from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA!
The only match that has been announced for tonight's show is an Intercontinental Championship defense. Big E. Langston will face off against Fandango, who earned his shot after defeating Dolph Ziggler in a "Present on a Poll" match during last week's Raw Christmas special.
As we have been reporting, the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar is expected to make his return to the WWE tonight, and there have been some reports stating that Paul Heyman will be coming back with him. What will Lesnar have in store for the Raw roster so far away from WrestleMania? Will he compete in the 2014 Royal Rumble match?
WWE's official website is also teasing that The Authority and the locker room may have comments about the impending return of Batista, who is scheduled for the January 20th edition of Raw. They are also questioning what is next for John Cena after his unsuccessful attempt to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. With Cena and several other top stars at a seperate live event tonight, expect a few pre-recorded backstage segments, and a lot of focus on the remaining top talents CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and The Shield.

That's the thing Season 2 will begin airing in March 2014 a month before Wrestlemania.

it was recorded out of sync so has some references to what will happen live on Raw even though those things havent happened yet in reality so if you dont want them spoiled then dont read it but if you dont care it could def be of interest

While Raw will be taped in Richmond, Virginia tonight, WWE also has their final house show of the year in Toronto, Ontario with John Cena, Randy Orton, The Rhodes Brothers, Kane, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, The Wyatts, Christian and The Big Show, among others, advertised for that show. So, that should give you an idea of who won't be appearing live on Raw. They could always have pre-taped vignettes, however.

The WWE can do a hype package like nobody else. That Orton career retrospective really was epic. Made him seem like a massive deal.

Hopefully this will be the end of Bryan and the Wyatts and Cena and Orton. Given the timing I think it probably will be.

Started at 7:30 so may have gotten those on early and flew them to raw but hen 600 miles is a long way

No no. Cena vs. Orton at Royal Rumble makes sense. Its gets the rematch out of the way and allows WWE to build to separate 'mania matches for both.

Cena vs. Taker could be awesome. A title match of Orton vs. one or more of Lesnar, Batista, Daniel Bryan and/or CM Punk would also be cool. [A triple threat match of Orton vs. Brock/Batista vs. Daniel Bryan would be my pick]
