Good morning. Be honest, what time did you stay up to last night thinking about transfers and captain choices? I'm looking at you Prodston! :)

A lot of differential captain choices and pre wildcard punts out there it seems. Could be fun, could be painful.

    Good luck all.

    Dzeko with a hat trick!

    Dzeko with a hat trick!

I've been toying with the idea of bringing him in for a couple of hours now but I think I've decided against it, for this reason obviously I hope he blanks(sorry busts etc), I'd view it as an 8 point hit because I'll almost certainly want him out straight afterwards. I'm sorry for the day ye convinced me to get on Lukaku for Rooney when he was suspended that time but he(Lukaku) is getting another chance to make it right with me, as long as he's starting games he's got potential especially with his fixtures.

I'm edging towards Suarez for captain, Chelsea will be a bit more open than against Arsenal and I fancy goals in that game, my City players are Negredo and Yaya, wouldn't expect any more than 6 or 7 for either.

    My team for the week:

    Harper
    Mertesacker Terry Coleman
    Silva Walcott Cabaye Hazard
    Rooney Suarez Lukaku

    Mannone, Ben Turner, Ward, Morisson

Cardiff are at home but Turner is benched because Mackay is gone so you wouldn't know what tactics they'll play.

4 point hit taken this week to bring in Cabaye and Walcott for Ozil and Ramsey.

The move may not repay me today but its a long term move. I was too reliant on Arsenal.

Hopefully the hit won't effect me in the FFS Cup last 32 round.

My most tinker-filled matchweek yet, and only a couple of days after the last match week! Not feeling good about this one at all, gave the C to Silva so Suarez will probably get a goal and an assist.

Decided against getting Dzeko for Lukaku. Don't let me down Lukaku. I've given you enough chances.

I've had Walcott for the last few weeks and had a good run with him as a differential. A lot seem to have him in now after the Ramsey injury so I'll need my differential to come from elsewhere.

Another good week would have me ending the year on a high after an otherwise appalling first half to the season.

Who would people play in defense? Ridgewell or Ben Turner?

    Ridgewell away to West Ham?
    Turner home to Sunderland?

Sunderland are pretty toothless up front and have drawn a good few blanks lately? Leaning towards Turner at the moment

Changed from Suarez as capt to Rooney last week but gave lost paitence with Lukaka and is axed this week for The Beast Ngredo who is getting the arm band.
This is the second time Lukaka has been dropped for me; the last was for the Merseyside derby!

Hopefully Baines is back for Everton, really hoping his return may see some points on the board from Lukaku

Decided to keep faith in Lukaku - the uncertainty over Negredo/Dzeko was too much in the end.

Having brought both Cabaye and Januzaj in, I'm now uncertain which of them I should start, because there isn't really room for both. Leaning towards the United man.

Fair bricking it about captaining silva over Rooney.

But gonna stick to my guns. Just wish 11.30 would hurry up so I can stop taking 3 steps towards the ipad and then stopping myself. :)

Decided to start Mannone ahead of Krul. Rooney brought in and captained

Swapped Ramsey and Negredo (had 2 FTs) for Yaya and Dzeko and captained Dzeko. Talked myself into it late last night after reading a number of convincing arguments on here. Hope it pays off and hey, if not, I know I'm not the only one to have taken the chance on Dzeko :)

Still a better option though. 2 points is definitely the most likely score for both though.

Would be very surprised if he didn't. He's been buzzing for them, had a long injury break so not played continuously and needing a rest.

Not definite of course. If he doesn't I'll have Rooney stepping in as captain and ravel off the bench if he's fit, if not Merts.

Rooney as captain but all eyes are on Romelu. He scores today.

Yeah true that he's not as wrecked as the other City midfielders. Only played 3 games in a row. I'm debating bringing him in for Ozil. I missed the price change yesterday night by a couple of min (confirmed transfers just to end up on the "pick my team" page... :(). Ozil is in theory more likely to be rested and is experiencing a little downfall in form. Silva is on fire and has equally as good fixtures as Ozil. That's be a long term move. Better hurry up now. Just a couple of min left...

    - edit -

    Pulled the trigger...

I was in bed for 2, with just the Walcott and Sterling transfers done :pac: Rooney as captain, although it looks like a mad scramble to get to the laptop to switch to Walcott has just escaped me at 11:31, due to forgetting to set an alarm

In Rooney I trust, with Turner out he has full permission to go straight for the jugular now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I took a 4 point hit this week and only have 4 players in today's games (Nasri, Chester, Mannone and Captain Rooney) so unless Rooney massively outperforms all other obvious captain choices I'll be expecting red arrows tonight.

A 1-1 draw in the City game would be sublime. I only have Nasri who is unlikely to get any points, let alone beat the likes of Yaya, Silva, Negredo, Dzeko and Zabaleta. That game could kill some of us!

Final thing before I drag myself out of bed - what a f**king terrible early game.

Had two free transfers this week. Out went Ozil and Ramsey. Sad to see them both go, had Ozil from before he kicked a ball and Ramsey since august.

But needs must and in comes Walcot and Silva, two players in great form and just back from a rest. Silva captained.

Haha, was thinking that myself. Even FF wise its hard to be interested. Usually even if you dont have anyone on your team playing rivals would have someone and you'd be funking on them doing nothing. But barely anyone seems to have players from West Ham or WBA now

Anyway hopefully a 1-1 draw with no goals/assists from anyone of consequence

Hangover means I'm starting 4 at the back, doubling up on Hull defenders, benched Hazard and Cabaye....and captained Lukaku!

    Madness? Probably, yes

As long as he keeps getting picked it will indeed be a difficult decision to dump him with those fixtures in mind, I've noticed the outcry about Mourinho letting him out on loan has kinda stopped of late, Torres is well able to get goals and assists off his arse and hands by himself.

Same here I think, then again, I've been saying that for a few games now, and when I look at his next few fixtures (reasonably favourable for Everton) it makes taking him out all the harder. That said he probably more than likely will continue his poor Fantasy form and I will more than likely keep him week after week because of these fixtures waiting for a hattrick day to break the drought or something.

I'll tell ya one thing if I came across him walking down the street I'd box the head of him (hit him and run for my life) ... (shout abuse at him from a distance and running away) ... (actually no, I'd just ask for a picture, delighted with myself and continue to pick him, while probably telling him he's in my team and asking him politely to get me a few points)

    BASTARD!

Lad supposedly in the know about West Ham said on FFS the other day that Ravel was in a training ground bust up with own players and has fell out with manager. How true that is I don't know. He called his initial absence before teamsheets were out.

Balls, I thought I had changed my captain to Suarez but I've left it on Yaya by mistake, could work out for me but not what I wanted.
My cup opponent has Negredo captained so now I don't mind if he only plays a few minutes.
Now that Ramsey has been decommissioned by the brigade it's time to put the hex on Coleman, I opted for Jagielka a few weeks ago, i'm sick to death of Phil Thompson and Paul Merson telling me how he's hit the post or had a header taken off the line, just score this week please Phil.

Took a bit of a risk in my transfer this week. Eriksen in for Lampard, despite likely having 2 non players in Vlaar and Ravel and Lampard probably likely to start tomorrow. Wanted some Spurs attacking presence against a Stoke defense missing a few through injuries and suspension. Fingers crossed it works out
