The Concorde in Edenmore will be, but they stop serving at Half time of the pool match IIRC.

Stephens night is one of the biggest nights out of the year? Where are these pubs that are closing?

I have never heard of a pub closing early on Stephenseseses Day, ever. One of the busiest drinking days/nights of the year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,026 ✭✭✭0ph0rce0

Same **** 2 years ago, went pub for the late kick off, ****ed out at half time. *****

None of the pubs in Coolock close up at five, at least they didn't last year.

The kilmardinnny is open til late. Always is. Although that's not in Coolock.

Sure go to the Blacker, be grand.

Yeah they should stay open as they do every year, barring a natural disaster or something to that effect, but I'd imagine the chances of one bad enough to close the pubs a 5:30 on St Stephen's Day are fairly slim.

This is all news to me. Pubs all closed early on Christmas Eve and now close early on Stephens Day half way through a match??

Because they have no sense of humour?

But why would an atheist be bothered about a pub closing early Stephen's Day?

    You're making no sense.

    You're making no sense.

Because they are all over the thread on the Christmas Day closure crying like children because the pubs closed today.

Talk about a spectacular missing of the point.

nobody has a problem with publicans choosing to close their premises any day they wish

Some people think the pubs will close here tomorrow at 5, some think tomorrow is the busiest pub day of the year here. Here is undefined.

    Clear now?

Others believe that there are no pubs, that pubs are simply an invention of the mind and therefore to watch the game after 5pm would never have been possible in the first place. It's all becoming clear now

When you say "every year", how many years are we talking about?

Also, you do realise that not everyone on AHs lives in Dublin.
