Well it's that time of the year again, the christmas crossword was printed in the Sunday indo sport section today on page 12. It's challenging but I'm sure with your help we'll get through it.

Does anyone know of any other crossword/quizzes that have been published lately?

What do people have for 5 down?
Rooney seems obvious enough but if the answer to 19A is Vela it doesn't fit.

    If 96A/29D is
Trent Johnston, what are people getting for 40A? I had Abbey, for St Nicholas Abbey, I can't find any fits for it otherwise, none of his injuries fit.

So close to finishing, there's just a few that have me stumped!

    23A: _ I _ R (Hurling stronghold in Chile) (4)
    45A: G _ _ (Initially, a ruler, of course?) (1,1,1)
78A: L _ _ C _ (Noel found the target with his bow and arrow (5) (Lynch perhaps?)
    85A: _ _ _ _ M (A muscular one is bad news on the field?) (5)

    70&101D: _ N _ _ _ _ I _ / _ _ Y _ S (You may hear Sienna with the Tribeswomen?) (3,5,5)
