    Hey guys,

So def need to tone up and looking to get a pt to help with that. They do seem to be quite expensive so just wondering if anyone has used one and what exp they had? The ones in the gym are of no benefit to me as they just do a plan and leave you to your own devices. Thanks for any help.

    were are you living?

Worth it will really will depend on who you pick. Look up Dominic Munnelly and if you live in Kildare his brother Niall runs a very good strength and conditioning gym. Haven't training with Dominic but have heard good things.

Might we worth checking out if there is a strength and conditioning or crossfit style gym near you. Classes are usually kept small and in most cases you will get good coaching.

Worth it for a few sessions so they can show you the basics. Be careful though, as it's very easy to get 'sucked in', in which case you'll find yourself spending €50-€70 every week just for someone to stand over your shoulder, when really you can do it all yourself.

A few sessions to learn proper technique and nail a good programme down is money well spent though.

If you get the results you want then it's all relative! They also can't make choices for you outside the gym so don't expect miracles if you have no self control!

True, although if you have no will power then it would be more advisable to get the person to address that issue before shelling out on a PT :) they don't exactly watch over you 24/7! Your heart needs to be in it.
