Not having suarez in my team means I have lost all interest in this

Of course disappointing is relative, but the good people here at the FSA forum are USUALLY able to figure out what is a relatively good score and a relatively bad score. If you're posting here telling people you're disappointed with your 70 score today because the 2 people ahead of you in the league got 80 and 82, Rory is completely within his rights to smack you back into shape. Whereas 70 the week Suarez obliterated Norwich, anyone would have accepted someone complaining about scoring.

Disagree completely. It's all relative. If you are in a very competive mini league then a dissapointing score is one where you loose ground. This might mean that your score is still higher than the average FSA score. I scored 53 this week which is still dissapointing as i lost further ground on 3 people above me in my league and are all in the top 3K now. I rate my score relative to them. I am still getting green arrows most weeks but the leaders in my league are moving up faster than me.

Ah yeah, agree completely. But rory always seems to take it personally to heart - I cant help but have a laugh

63 with Coleman, Mert, Ramsey and Hazard left to play. Happy with that now.
Luckily I put Whittaker in the team instead of Shawcross - only because he wasn't guaranteed to play. Happy with Silva so far, but didn't watch the game so not sure if he deserved 3 BP's, i assume he did.
Green arrows, but this could change after next matches.
The only worry now are Remy - Newcastle scoring, but he isn't involved:mad:, and Mignolet/Pantilimon useless combo. I will bring Howard for Mignolet, the only choice really.

    54 with six to play.

But I took a 12 pt hit this week so am really back at 42 which isn't great. Hoping for goals galore in the arsenal game tomorrow.

    Arsenal game isn't till Monday....

52 (-4) with five to play. All red arrows so far. Taking a four point hit for Zabaleta/Giroud to Kolarov/Negredo didn't work out so hoping my remaining Arsenal and Everton players bail me out.

60 points with Ramsey, Ozil, Terry and Lallana to play. Happy with that.

The big let downs were Demel (1), Chamakh (1), Mingolet (2) and Remy (2)
The big returns were Debuchy (12), Yaya (10) and captain Suarez (32)

    :D

Complaining that people in your league scored really well is fair enough, but coming in here calling your well above average (not the actual average but the FSA average) score 'disappointing' is insulting to the posters of the forum.

Surprised people do complain about the score when there are games involving Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, and Southampton/Tottenham combo (defense mostly in the last two). The tables can be turned around, no need to panic yet.

As i said it's all relative. Some less competitive people might feel insulted. Those more competitive might agree. It's all about perspective and how your doing. To make a blanket statement about how good a score is wrong. The key difference is the average in a private league versus that of another private league or overall.

Everyone has different targets on here, some are looking for a top 10K finish, others a top 100K finish. Some posters here posted that they would be happy with a top 500k finish. I reckon i'll need at least a top 2K finish to win my league so i judge my score relative to my targets. 53 for me so far this week from 6 is very disappointing for me as i have lost more ground. To others the same score might see you jump up your league.

It's the equivalent of David Moyes saying he would be dissapointed if they drew with Chelsea but Tony Pulis would be very happy for a palace draw with Chelsea. It would be foolish for Pulis to say he would be insulted by Moyes in such a scenario. It's all about how competitive your own team is and what your targets are

You're definitely going to have to post up your team's history to justify such comments.

61 with Coleman, Terry, Ramsey, Özil and Lukaku left to play. Disappointed though, I have Mannone on the bench with 10. Shouldn't have trusted Pool to get the clean sheet.

59(-4) so far; minor greens. Evans and Chester losing clean sheets late on was annoying. Buttner being so at fault for the West Ham goal doesn't say much for him or the utd coaching staff either. Still have Coleman, Hazard, Theo, Lallana and Lukaku to play.

52 with these 7 left to play so very happy with that so far - Szczesny, Coleman, Shelvey, Ramsey, Hazard, Lallana, Lukaku.

    hmmmm

Lets assume that Howard and Coleman cancel each other out. That means a Walcott goal and Lukaku goal would most likely see you in with a great chance, or a brace from either. Even 2 points from Mert would help too.

Not over by a long shot, you can do it FHFC!

Hmm, that also requires Ozil to do nothing. Quite a combination of events needed. Not as unlikley as Lemlins though I suppose! :)

If Chester had held onto his CS for 6 more minutes I'd have been in with a shout.

Saints: Gazzaniga, Chambers, Lovren, Hooiveld, Fox, Cork, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Lallana (c), Rodriguez, Lambert.

59 (-4) with 5 to play, looks good but with my private league it doesn't make a difference everyone else scoring around the same. Was going to bring in debuchy and didn't cos I didn't want the hit, should've gone with my gut.

Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Chriches, Rose; Lamela, Dembele, Eriksen, Sigurdsson; Adebayor, Soldado

Subs: Friedel, Capoue, Fredericks, Bentaleb, Holtby, Chadli, Defoe

Bringing in Vito Mannone two weeks ago was probably the greatest FF transfer I've ever made!

Despite not having Yaya Toure, this gameweek is going quite well (57 points). Do people see Yaya as an absolute essential at this point?

Lamela and Soldado will have my attention too. Won't touch them with a barge poll until a manager and a defined starting team is set up.

At last lamela, watched him regularly last season, a good player, deserves a chance.

Very interesting spurs team. Lamela could be fantastic prospect if they get themselves sorted out..

Have no players in the first game, so no clean sheets and goals/assists to come from low ownership players please.

Will be watching the darts with the occasional flick over to the soccer and of course checking this thread

I don't think he's essential but I think having an attacking City player probably is. I'm going with Silva rather than Toure.
