I was quite intrigued by salut flo myself but skipped him over in the end with marginal preference for Ataglance at 8/1.

Also I had black thunder in te 1.55 at lingfield at about a 4/6 shot at maximum and there is plenty of 5/6 around so had a bet on that also.

Color Squadron is my only bet tomorrow as a lay.Dodgy when going gets tough cannot have him at all.Keep an on on George Benjamin in 1st at Southwell im told they went for a right e/w touch last time off course 100/1 finished 2nd got a shocker of a ride.Entered to be claimed for 2k today and bookies running for cover as is only 7/4.He must have a few lb in hand still but obvious trainer wants rid of him.

One standout bet tomorrow is Court Minstrel without The New One. Decent run in the Greatwood seeing as he didn't have his ground. He'll have come on a lot from that race, he hit a flat spot around half a mile out but finished off his race well without ever threatening. On good ground he's a different horse & he'll like a quick pace.

I think he's a plot job for later in the year (don't ask me what!) but find it very strange that Williams basically says he's a mule, in public, yet throws him into tomorrow's company. He's been a bit too negative about him to be true imo. There was also little to no market support for him lto despite getting his ground and he ran as seemed expected.

The New One will probably win but worth noting that Zarkander is unbeaten on tomorrow's track.

Glens Melody tomorrow folks, To paraphrase Mullins himself, she's really slipped under the radar given the rave about Annie Power, I think she can make a big account of herself tomorrow? Anyone?

Got to have some chance with Ruby over for just the one ride but the French fav was very impressive when beating Solwhit comfortably in French Champion Hurdle. I know he's been beaten since and might need soft/heavy but if Solwhit was running tomorrow, he'd be a strong odds-on poke. A trappy race and one to enjoy imo.

I have these tomorrow as singles and in a lucky 15.

    1:25 Lingfield - Even If @ 9/2
    2:05 Doncaster - Dispour @ 16
    3:15 Doncaster - Night In Milan @ 12/1
    9:20 Wolverhampton - Invigilator @ 8/1

Agree, It'll be very interesting to see how, she gets on in what seems to be solid company, given that G1 she won last year was only an old tip of a race, eager to see how she does

    Cheltenham

12.10: Commissioned @ 5/1 - Having his first run over hurdles, this well-related animal could upset the front two in the market. Ferguson is in good form and I find it interesting that he's starting this horse off at Cheltenham when he often favours easier tracks for an introduction.

2.25: John's Spirit @ 13/2 - Big task on his hands to win a 3rd Cheltenham handicap in a couple of months and raised 9lbs for the win but the style in which he won suggested he was capable of taking another big one. He travelled very easily that day before idling infront. Five of the last nine winners of tomorrow's race were placed in the Paddy Power. Obviously, Colour Squadron has to be respected but wouldn't like to be backing him not to make a costly error, at his price.

    Singles & Each Way Double

Slew on target has beaten Johns Spirit on one occasion, off this low weight and big price he is a good ew shot
    I like a big price:)

Am I the only one that thinks this is a very, very hard day to pick a winner? No bet today I'm saving my dollaz for my Christmas bet at Southwell on Tuesday

I like One FIne Day in the 12.30
    Good EW VALUE AT 16-1

I'm thinking similar. Good card at Cheltenham but very trappy

I said before the Paddy Power that Salut Flo was the only horse in the race I could see with the potential to really improve very significantly on his handicap mark & I think similar today. Very risky betting proposition but is only 7lbs higher than his festival demolition job.

Did a fly about in the wind this morning taking 7/4 George Benjamin.

Only small bets for me today.

    Lucky 15
    Makari 12\1
    Off the groove 2\1
    Dolatula 7\2
    Saint toque 4\1

    10 euro win
    Grandioso 15/2
Night in Milan 8\1. Apart from the international hurdle, I can't wait to see the relkeel hurdle, small field, but looks like it will be a fascinating race.

Siding with Gemix today, surprised to see him such a big price given his form. He should be a strong fav in this race.

He's lost his last 2 races and wants it heavy AFAIK.

Yeah I think he has won all or most of his races on soft/heavy.

That was a very gutsy performance by Sam Winner. Nice ride by Jacob.

His form is miles ahead of this lot. He was just run out of it close home lto (I remember you or Droidman posting the link for that race where Reve de sivola came from miles back). He's got a great turn of foot so ground not an issue IMO. Bit of concern that tough race could have left a mark. Regardless, all of the rest have it to prove at this level. His form is really solid. I suspect if he was Irish or uk trained, he'd be a very strong fav. Always a bit of a worry with a horse travelling overseas but I'm willing to take that on trust.

Can somebody pm me a link for racing on any channels ?

Hard to see it here in Australia.

Imagine the winner of the grade 2 juvenile was beaten in a handicap off a mark of 108 two runs back at Sedgefield

I convinced myself to give Saint Roque 1 more go after him disappointing lto. Took 4/1 just before the opening show.

Dont think so. Described as Good and looks that way. Favourite will probably take all the beating but thought the price was way to short.

Kings Palace is a superb jumper.

    Did that really well

Just re-read that, sounded like I may have been after timing, didn't back it (unfortunately!) if that's the way it came across!

As good a round of jumping from a novice hurdler as you'll see! He's got to be a big player come March as clearly has the engine and can't imagine many being as good over their hurdles. He's so athletic, bit like Our Conor in his style.

Looks a nice type and galloped all the way to the line with the 2nd obviously well thought of considering he was really well backed and probably didnt give his running lto.

As i posted before Tony Martin had more winners at 2013 Cheltenham than Nicholls,Mccain and Pipe combined.Be very wary of backing any horse from these yards for Cheltenham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 449 ✭✭hawkhead

Denis O'Regan was a little too cocky on Broughton there I think.

Nice 1st run over hurdles all the same

I was at a pp meeting, on the rail at the finish and judging by the expletives used by the jockey of colour squadron at the finish line, along with the pre race punt of 20's into 12'a, I suspect they were a little disappointed not to land the cup in November. Although I'm not having a bet in it, and if he's trying rather than being saved for march, I would be surprised if he didn't go one better today.

Thought that was a very nice ride by Sam Twiston D. The move 2 out definitely won him the race.

Have off the ground @ 2\1 in the next in Doncaster for 3 up in a lucky 15

He's the only jock out of the top 7 under 30. Sure be the top one some day.

Not saying he will, but hopefully The New One trounces Zarkander in the next. Would be great for the Champion Hurdle spectacle.
