If you like her its a good move, also drinking a pint of water before you go to bed might be a good move too. :)

And a couple of nurofen on the locker for the morning.

And people say she's just a big pair of tits.

Ha! I bumped into someone walking down the street the other morning cos I was looking at the poster for the gig a bit too carefully. You can see a bit of boob where she's busting out of her blouse.

That's it in a nutshell - if you want to see a legend great , money well spent. If you want to hear that legend sing however buy her albums . Her voice is way past it's best.

Dolly is a legend. Like most legends their songs are better covered by someone else...here's my favourite cover of Jolene

Catch her while you can, she won't be touring forever.

The opposite could be said for Alicia Keys who I am going to see tonight.

Please merge with the boasting/smug bastard thread.

Yes, despite a recent car crash where the car was not equipped with air bags, Dolly escaped unscathed. It is believed her personal funbag system deployed instead.

No hangover (yet) and feeling strangely positive about the idea now. Although my friend is now talking glitter pink stetsons, high feels and cut-off denim shirts. She'll look fine in them, but me 'm not sure about.

    I like her style..

"If I have one more facelift, I'll have a beard!"

"If I see something sagging, bagging, and dragging, I'm going to nip it, suck it and tuck it. Why should I look like an old barn yard dog if I don't have to?"

"It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."

Saw Dolly last year, she was absolutely amazing. Had the whole Point depot on their feet giving it loads by the end of the night.

More mixed crowd than I had expected but still a lot of wans with the pink cowboy hats on, would not have been into it myself. No denying everyone had a great time though.

    I support this decision!

    You should have asked them

Why'd you come in here looking like that. . . .?

She is very talented in fairness, but a whole gig might be a bit much
If you're lucky, she might even rap for you. Although my cringe sensors won't let me watch

I generally cannot stand country music. It begins and ends with Patsy Cline for me.

But, I'd have quite a bit of respect for Dolly. She came from absolutely nothing and made something of herself, with more than her fair share of bumps (no pun intended) along the way. She also seems to possess a healthy degree of self-depreciative humour, which is always good to see in people involved in her business.

I'm not mad about her music though, but 'I will always Love You' beats the shit out of that warbling drivel that Whitney spewed forth, that's for sure.

I wouldn't pay shillings to she her in concert though. But if you're on for it, go for it.

Clever woman, a kind business woman too :) she sang her heart out on
I will always love you the version I like.

    She is Miley Cyrus's godmother...

I really wish Miley would go back to Country, she has an amazing voice for it and it is her true musical roots.

And why the hell does boards not have a Country Music forum, so much more to it than the dreadful Mike Denver.

Well, two legends really. My God, I just looked at a few recent photos ....... wtf has she done to her face? From being a nice looking Southern belle, she now looks grotesque. Her make up crew certainly earn their money.

A severe case of body dysmorphia. Should have seen a shrink instead of the plastic surgeon. What exactly drives people to do this to their bodies?

Have a gander. Just over 1 minute long. If too busy  go to 27 secs

Years ago I read an article in an issue of Reader's Digest entitled 'Dolly Parton's Coat Of Many Colours' about her life and times and it made for great reading. Dolly has truly earned her legendary status and, in my humble opinion, is one of the last great entertainers.

    Enjoy the concert.

I can't understand Ireland's obsession with boybands and Louis Walsh type acts. Mike Denver is nothing but a Westlife style act with a Celtic/Irish music/folk flavour and a cowboy hat on him. He is famous because Tubridy and the like make him so. Plus, his song 'Day of my return' is a total cash-in on the then popular 'Galway girl' written by Steve Earle.

I am not a fan of any manufactured pop music sound and Mike Denver is a prime example of a soulless pop singer produced by some Louis Walsh wannabe who wants to ride on the wave of 'Westlife folk style' and further pollute Irish music.
