I'm sorry to hear that you're so unhappy with your body. My weight yoyos a lot, and it used to really bother me, hated going out because anything I put on me, I just felt like your man from little Britain.

You should probably go see your doctor regarding your depression as nobody will be able to give you medical advice, however when you say that you find that you don't stay motivated, I understand that a lot.

What helped me was finding an exercise class (so I couldn't stop half way through) that I really enjoyed, for me that class was boxercise - great stress relief. If you find the gym boring then look for Pilates class, Zumba classes if you like dancing, yoga, swimming, aqua aerobics, whatever.. You're bound to find one that you like to do and it wouldn't feel like so much of needing motivation to go as you'd start enjoying and looking forward to these classes. Even if it wasn't solely for loosing weight, you would feel better for it. I can tell you I'm the laziest most anti exercise person ever but not even I have come back from a walk and said "god I'm raging I went for the walk I feel worse for it".

Next, you have what you have. You might not have the body you want, so what. Work towards it but don't let it stop you from living your life. That girl that you look at and think has an unreal body, probably has a big nose or funny ankles or something else about her that she doesn't like. A lot of people aren't happy with their appearance. Build a bridge and work towards where you want to be. In the meantime, accept what you have and make the most of it.

Find a style that you like, find clothes that make you feel good, if clothes aren't your thing and nice makeup/fancy handbag/unreal pair of shoes are - then complete your outfit with something else you love. So you might feel a bit meh in a dress on a night out, but bring your favourite bag or wear your favourite pair of shoes and I'm sure you would feel much better.

And don't get so bogged down with sizes. If it looks good, and is comfortable and makes you feel good when you're wearing it, who cares what the sizes are? Nobody can see that label only you. I tend to cut the size labels off my clothes cause I couldn't be doing with getting bogged down with stupid numbers. It's not like a size can even be described as a reliable thing. Some clothes/shops I could be three sizes smaller than I think I am, and the next shop, I could be bursting out of the size above what I think I am. Doesn't matter, as long as it looks good.

I know it's hard, but the more confident you feel the more people tend to notice and when they compliment you/hit on you, it is a little boost to the aul ego and in time, hopefully you will start to accept what you have.

Lastly, don't lock yourself away all Christmas. Where's the fun in that? If you want to go out, go out. The more you beat yourself up, the more miserable you become, and the more you'll emotionally eat, thus making yourself more miserable. It's a vicious circle.

Weight/size aside, just learn to accept yourself. Nobody is perfect.

I had typed a long reply to you and then it vanished!
I understand what you're going through. I have been there. The only thing that worked for me is the 2 day fast, non consecutive, on which I eat 500 cals between breakfast and dinner, then every other day I eat normally. It's amazing how easy it actually is when you get used to it, but better than losing weight are the other effects it had on your body, greatly reducing risks of serious disease, so it has lots of benefits.
I found out about this when I watched the BBC Horizon programme, 'Eat, Fast, and live Longer', for me it was a revalation, I was inspired. And this kind of fasting isn't the torture you'd imagine at all. The hunger pangs come, they pass, and then you just remember you can eat normally the next day! You're not cutting anything out or denying yourself, just eating less twice a week! The difference it's made for me is amazing. I watched that programme on Vimeo, I really recommend you take a look! I started to see results really i would say after three weeks, though i saw them on the scales after one.
I know it's hard to be motivated when you feel low, and i know you want to hide away in your house, but even all that stressing takes energy you could use in a positive way, so be proactive! You can do it! Feel free to message me :)

Cut down on the christmas food splruge - people tend to buy more food and overeat, streamline it some more and see if you can cut out any extras such as pudding/christmas cake.

Watch the intake of the stuffing too,i know that always gets me,and as the other posters said its a psychological thing, dont let your weight get to you, dont lock yourself away or anything like that - enjoy this time of year.

I 100% know where you are coming from - i had the worst cravings for years and always gave in and I was a massive yoyo dieter. I read that aloe vera stabalized your blood sugars etc so said I would drink a shot every morning and I started to see a difference quickly -I wanted to so something naturally rather than starving myself. after a few weeks of taking just the aloe I said I would try the aloe vera inner cleanse - to clear out my system while flooding my body with vitamins and minerals. I have 2 kids under 18months and I was just wrecked all the time. I needed a boost and by god did i get it. My energy has never been so good, I lost 10lbs on it and since then Im loosing 2lbs a week becuase my body is able to absorb the nutrients correctly now because my colon and gut are now clear from nasty things! I was so afraid that I would be sitting on the loo for the 9days but I wasnt it was very natural. The best thing is im not craving things like crisps, chocolate etc....I now go to the gym 3 times a week and there is no way I would or could have been able for it before I was so sluggish!

Will have to try that suggestion with the aloe vera drink, sounds good. i always find myself with crazy cravings when i diet the only thing keeping my stomach full is sparkling water,i use that to trick myself into not feeling hungry, but some of the cravings i have a re to do with blood sugars i think,bc im full up but still lusting after food, and with the sparkling water,if i choose to have dinner that day,i find i get really very bad acid reflux and im going through rennies like nobodys business.

I know the feeling....was the same myself, no matter what I did or ate the scales only seemed to back and fourth by a pound or two, was constantly craving and couldn't bear to look at myself. I then started low carb/atkins and the weight has been literally FALLING OFF since. my diet is super clean and I am constantly feeling full. The best part is I can still enjoy a takeaway and a few drinks at the week end

Where did you get the aloe Vera shots? I'd love to give them a try.
