Just got one for my daughter!! How much are the shc cards in lidl... Are they the micro sd cards to expand the memory??

No though it is in the case on the box. ..

I think those cards in Lidl are too big for the GoClever. Probably have to get one of those small SDHC cards in a phoneshop.

Great range of Micro SD cards here (assuming the tablet takes a card?).

is this the same one that's in DID for €69.99?

This tablet is amazing considering price. Great for kids or older people or just as quick internet browser on living room table.

I would hurry as when Furby was on offer they were sold out within hours ..

also the best place to buy memory cards is ebay (irish sellers for quick delivery). Prices for those in Lidl/Tesco/Pc world are 2-3times higher ..

No, Tesco one has a higher spec.

Good specs, but only a front camera. no back camera..

Also has built in 3G modem and a miniHDMI out!

Needed one for a Xmas present. Don't have the money today. Wonder if this will come up again before Xmas, or can any tab expert here recommend another 'good cheap one' ?

Maybe ask the store manager to keep one aside? Put €20 down as a deposit. Explain your situation. Some folk do have a heart :)

Ennis Aldi have a 32GB micro ds card for 19.99.

It may be in other aldi shops also.

It's not reduced in price to clear out, it's their standard price.

    Are tesco doing vouchers ?

Could you get something off it on your first on line shop ?

Link to technical thread about them

Better value than Lidl, but for these tablets you need to get the smaller MicroSD cards. There's a lnk above to a site selling them or ebay.ie.

I got one this morn for my daughter for Christmas, tesco in athlone, there were a few people there looking for them. It shows it in a keyboard case on the box but there is no case (I already knew that anyway!)

I've had a look at home & set out up for her. .. Have to say I'm very impressed so far... Very fast (faster than my galaxy tab 2 10.1), screen is good, not like the tab or ipad obviously but it's grand... touch screen a little slow (when typing for example) but again nothing to put me off...

Her dad got her a goclever something or other last year? It was slow, dull looking & unresponsive & way more expensive!

I was going to get her a nook hd from littlewoods (109e) but kept putting it off. .. The screen would have been much better but that's about it really (slightly lighter & slimmer) & she already has a kindle touch...

I'm really delighted with this for the price i think it's a great little tablet... Would nearly have got one for myself but seems a bit ott when I have the tab 10.1 & don't have the money lol!!!

    Hth :)

There seems to be a lot of stock availability right now. That could obviously change.

It's hard to know whether to recommend these. Functionally, they're amazing for the price but does the screen quality, touch response, hardware reliability etc make it a more frustrating experience than it's worth?

Can't help thinking people would be better off saving and getting a nexus 7 or an iPad mini. The price gap is pretty big though obviously.

You'd need drivers for that, no idea if they are available for Android.

Nope, wouldn't work as like other post said the drivers aren't available for android. USB adapters designed for windows/mac etc.

This http://www.goclever.com/ie/products,c1/tablet,c5/orion-70,a98.html#specification says external 3G dongle so should support certain Bluetooth ones

you will need a cable like this http://www.buyincoins.com/item/36853.html
    microUSB OTG (charging by USB)

http://www.buyincoins.com/item/196.html - there are lots of bluetooth adaptors

did you go through the whole set up process...? When I first turned it on I thought the same, dark and dinghy, thought I'd made a big mistake!!.... but when you finish setting it up & get to the home screen, it's not that bad. ? Quite crisp & bright I thought (I'm used to using Galaxy Tab 2...)

No I haven't .. but the screen is lacking definition. Lines are quite blurred when viewing newspages. I'm comparing it to a HTC phone and a Galaxy tablet and while its possibly faster than both if those devices the screen is just too poor.

That could also be a browser text rendering issue. I wouldn't give up just yet.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/GoClever-T76GPSTV-Sandwich-Capacitive-Multi-Touch/dp/B00A27Y5OS

Okay, had this for four weeks now.

    1. Digital TV = 0 out of 5, got reception once, blocky and broken, and now nothing.
    2. WIFI = 5 out of 5, distance pickup good, really quick to hook in to routers an quick for email and web!
    3. Battery = 2 out of 5, for an LED back-lit unit I would have expected more, getting a max of 3 hours with screen brightness set to 0.
    4. Flash playback, 5 out of 5 = Very good, no stutter, lip sync good, BBC Iplayer very good through this unit.
    5. GPS = 2 out of 5, needs to be completely free of obstacles to work properly, also accuracy very poor. Had this in my cagoule pouch using Viewranger app to track OS route, kept losing satellite reception every time until I took it out of pocket, my commtiva N700 can be left in my rucksack and not lose satellite reception!!
    6. G-Sensor 1 out of 5, okay for changing orientation with the unit but all other software seems to fail to recognize it for games and apps!!!
    7. Screen response 5 out of 5, 'nuff said :-)
    8. No Digital compass so no rating :-(

I only paid £80 for mine so quite glad as usual that I didn't spend the full asking price.
This unit actually saves me booting up my Laptop at home to check my emails and do the odd bit of web surfing, also can do rough edits to my images for clients on it.

So although not a complete waste of money, think you'll find there is a lot better for a little bit more money out there, the choice is yours!
