Hopefully Brendan's been working on some Nigella-related zingers!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Marco Pierre White will also chat to Brendan about why he’s opened his second Irish restaurant and what he thinks of today’s celebrity chef culture.

There was a time when I was a big fan of Marco Pierre White. I remember he used always say that to make a decent stock you had to make it from scratch, so this Domestic Goddess ;) took him at his word and used to have chicken carcusses, onions, celery, carrots, and herbs simmering away for hours.

Then one day Marco decides that Knorr Chicken stock cubes make a better stock :mad::mad: I fell out of love with him after that :(

Hopefully it will be a better show than last week.

I absolutely destroyed two beautiful steaks following his tip on rubbing a stock cube to them. It should have came with the warning "do not try this at home"

No mention of MPW in the intro, I reckon he has had to cancel (due to the airport issues in the UK) and Jack and Jill charity boss Jonathan Irwin has been parachuted in at the last minute to replace him as a guest ;)

    I HATE STOCK CUBES.

They are chalky and full of salt. I normally try to make my stock from scratch but I occasionally use Marigold Swiss bouillon powder.

He should have brought Sara Jane on with him to see how she is getting on with her new gaff.

    I hate untidy men....:(

The most striking thing that comes across on his show is that he seems to be a very poor communicator with his project managers and builders.

She should have her own TV show by now.

In my experience, men are much easier to live with than women, they are far neater.

It's supply and demand alright but the demand is highly limited seeing as the banks don't have the cash to give Joe Soap earningh €30k a year a €400k mortgage for a 2 bedroom apartment.

I can never understand homeowners moaning about house prices. You buy your house you either want to live there for the rest of your life or else want to move to something better. If you are staying there the rest of your life it doesn't matter to you what way the price goes after you bought it, only people to benefit will be those in your will. If you bought it to buy something better eventually and prices go down the price of that has also fallen and usually by a larger percentage than your own has.

Poor MPG lost his wife and child due to contaminated blood products.

    Terrible tragedy for the family.

I remember buying the Starkey and Hutch magazine every week....:)....

How I wanted one of those cardigans!.......All the girls whose Mammy's could knit had one!....:(

Jeepers! 20 minutes to go, and no SNS thread started!

Is everybody at an office Christmas party? Wish I wasn't self-employed!

How could a Saturday Show not have a thread when Starsky is on it?
