Go and pay her a visit and don't be so mean :) I'm sure there are a few little jobs you could be doing so she won't feel neglected even if you just sit in her and daydream of times gone by and times to come it will help with the withdrawal symptoms :D

You are so lucky!! I went and took up the opportunity to study again and am doing a distance learning course .... now i have to pay for next year and i can't afford to go boating and do study (tried it and it can't be justified) , so something has to give and I have to sell my little baby... it's so hard, i've been putting it off for months and still go out on a saturday if the weather isn't too bad... have to bite the bullet soon and do it, it'll be like losing an arm :(:(

Hang in there Toshiba, the new season will soon be upon you.

thanks lad,s for all the support . it,s really good to know that there are people out there that feel as i do and can understand my frustration i really need support right now it has been so long since i have seen her floating in the water with her big outboard purring so sweet egging me on and saying to me . come on big boy take me for a ride . but i know that she is on her trailer all covered up nice and cosy looking so snug . and if i was to go and pay her a visit i know i could only look at her and maybe give her a rub down but i would not be able to take her for a ride . and that would only hurt her & me . so really lads when is the earliest time in 2014 that i can take my baby for a ride. i have been informed that the first good day in feb 2014 would be fine . please i need to know i don,t think i can wait any longer than i already have it has been 4 month,s now since i last seen her i feel like killing myself right now at this moment it,s been so long since my baby & me have been together . it,s not as if i don,t have the means to kill myself because i do .

any help what so ever would be a life saver .

    your tosh .:(

Guns and boats don't mix something to do with holes :)

As to when my season starts, the powerboat branch might be doing a run from Dublin bay up the Liffey sometime between Christmas and new year so not too long to wait :D

Well if thats the boat you want then that is the goal to head for anything is possible if you put your mind to it, if it can't be done with money it can be done with time and effort but believe me it can be done "I have proof":D

If you feel like just getting out for a spin and blowing away the cobwebs join up here http://powerboat.iwai.ie/ or https://www.facebook.com/groups/133673356708207/ there is nearly always a empty seat for members who can't bring a boat.
Keep strong spring is coming :D

She is very clean looking must have been well looked after over the years. The shetland's have a big following and always hold their money well.
As she is on a trailer you could always tow her to one of our meets :)

    Nice looking boat..

thanks fergal for the link . and the diagram but too complicated for me would,nt have a clue .

is there anything out there that is portable that you can attach to the back of the boat when you are towing it . like lights that connect into the cigar lighter if you know what i mean ...

Don't let that stop you...it's really not that hard to attach a supply for a light board, as fergals diagram shows, all you have to do is connect up to the wire harness that goes to the lights at the back of your vehicle, prob on the passenger side of your vehicle, hidden behind some carpet, just find what colour does what (check owners manual or google), tap into it and presto! you have power to add a lightboard.. you can always ask us in here if you get stuck.

No it has to connect to each light, they are not that expensive to get fitted and it only takes about half an hour if a pro is doing it.

My boats still in the water. Trying to organsie winter storage after the season was well over probably wasnt the smartest thing to do. Guess i,ll have to take it out racing in the new year when brass monkeys starts up again especially if the weather is like its been last few weeks

i am sick i took my boat out of the water so early  but i can tell you it will not happen next year that,s for defo ! but i have to say i will not have any mooring next year because i will be launching & retrieving each time i go up to the boat but i will be staying for a week at a time so i don,t mine plus it,s going to save me on mooring fee,s .:)
