What's the best way to use sauna / steam/ jacuzzi

My gym has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. There's a small shower beside it - obviously separate to the main showers so just for rinsing.

What's the best way health / detox wise to use these facilities?

My work out is about 20 mins cardio then weights. Usually after I just soak / relax in the jacuzzi or head into the sauna or steam rooms for about 5 minutes.

I've been doing this for the "feel nice" factor but I'm sure there is a way I could be using the facilities better.

Eg would it be good to do a longer sauna type session on one of my rest days when I have more time?

Usually I'm trying to fit in workout (about 60 mins), relax, shower, dry and dress in about 2 hours. On a non workout day I'd have an extra hour.

    Any suggestions?

Sauna post workout would be great to release bonus GH (~140% http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/999213) be sure to take note of hydration of course.

Why on earth are you working out for an hour?

    20 mins cardio
About 25 mins weight and maybe 10 mins of stretching after.

It's the program the gym gave me.

Why on Earth would you work out for less?

If the gym was closing and you needed to get to the sauna for the GH gainz.

Remove the bracket at the end of the link:

Growth hormone is secreted in cycles of generally 3-5 hours during the day, between the peaks of these cycles (ie. most of the time) there is 5 nano-grams (ng) in a millilitre (ml) of blood. There are 1,000,000,000 nano-grams in a gram. ONE BILLION. The study showed that gh levels went up 142% but back down to normal after an hour. Do you think an increase from 5 billionths of a gram to 12.1 billionths of a gram per millilitre for, at most, 59 minutes could be reliably measured never mind have a discernible effect on any one?
Growth Hormone is a stress hormone. Saunas like the ones used in that study are 80-120 degrees Celsius, what would you expect?

    Saunas increase GH by 142%,
Resistance training can raise GH by 300%,
Fasting for 16-24 hours can raise GH levels by 1400%,
The first hour of sleep is accompanied by an average 2000% increase in GH.

    This tells you either:
    A) Increasing GH levels isn't a hard thing to do,
    B) Increasing GH levels doesn't do much, or
    C) Skipping breakfast, going into a sauna and doing push ups between naps will make you look like Ronnie Coleman.

    Think a bit.
