Texans @ Jaguars is one of the worst prime time games ever, surely? Reminds me of Colts with Painter @ Jaguars around this stage of the season a couple of years ago.

Every team has to play TNF

There is no flexing like SNF or cherry picking like MNF.

Anyway should be a good game, Jags going for three straight wins!

Maybe one of these days we'll have a thread were someone doesn't complain about the prime time game, and maybe one of these days I will learn the rules re: flexing games etc :pac:

You should never speak ill of Curtis Painter! He was part of the 3 man crack team that brought Luck to the Colts!

Really hard calls for a lot of those games. I'm letting my heart rule my head with all of the NFC north games because it's the only way I can imagine anything other than the Lions winning it out. That said I genuinely do think they'll lose to the Eagles. Tonight's game could actually be kind of entertaining, even if the quality is low enough. Since everyone has to play Thursday, isn't it best that two bad teams play each other? That way you have less chance of it being really one-sided.

    IF....

    1. Jags beat Titans tonight
    2. Ravens lose to Vikings
    3. Dolphins lose to the Steelers

Jags will be 2 games out of the playoff with 3 games to go :)

Haven't done this in ages. Last time I did it Indy had a good team. So it's more for superstition Also we haven't lost all season when I've worn a colts TShirt the day after the game instead of gameday.

Its worth noting, Peyton Manning can win Indy the AFC South this week. Should we lose in Cincy and Denver beat the Titans.

Game tonight should have big implications on the draft order in 2014. Currently the Texans have the No.1 spot with the Jags in the No.2 spot. This game could be a defining game for the next few years for both franchises.

    Teddy Bridgewater sweepstakes.

Bridgewater.. it doesn't lend itself to a nickname like the 'Suck for Luck' did!

Anyone watching this? How's Tate looking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,158 ✭✭✭Arawn

What the hell is wrong with texans this year, down 24-20 atm only for a penalty looked like texans could of got back even, completed a 2nd for 3rd short just outside the 10 but gave up A 10 yard penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,158 ✭✭✭Arawn

Texans have passed on their last 30 or so plays so Tate just got his first posession since I started watching, just made 8. Texans looking like they will win,. Shuab has been fantastic since coming on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Well well well.

    Jags win again.

Schuab with an INT to finish the game really.

Just saw the highlights, but looked pretty poor stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,444 ✭✭✭Dohnny Jepp

The jags seem to always play their way out of the number 1 draft pick when there is a qb worth taking number 1 and then will finish last if there is no clear cut over all first pick.

Yeah but what's the odds that after the draft someone refers to him at the Bridge over troubled Waters?

    I'll... I'll get me coat.

Felt bad for Schaub, the drive before the int that got them the field goal, He was doing everything right. Fecking everything, had serious momentum going only for his team to give up penalties and cost them.

Don't know how he's gone from being a solid reliable QB the last two seasons previous to being a turnover machine this season. Confidence must just be shot to bits.

Schaub in my mind is like Romo - the media just love to hate him. He has had a very poor season this year, though the whole team has been a miss with or without him. Also the four straight pick sixes really hurt in that sense, but getting an interception returned from deep in the backfield is often just bad luck in terms of it getting brought back.

Their offense has generally been very good for a number of years, and yet some love to blame him for a lack of playoff wins. Those same people love to forget how terrible the Texans defense has been until the last 2 years or so, that it was a lot harder to get in when playing in the same division as Manning's Colts, and that when they got knocked out against the Ravens last year... they did kind of put up 28 points (with Schaub having 2 TDs and 340 yards passing).

He's obviously not at all one of the best-of-the-best, and I would question his clutch ability more than Romo to carry on the comparison, but the talk of him being the reason for the Texans' lack of playoff success and 'part of the problem' that has all popped up this season is kind of laughable.

They should still consider Bridgewater if he is as good as billed of course (esp as Schaub will be 33 next year - not getting younger), but I do love how knee-jerkish the NFL can be at times. Another part of me would LOVE to see Clowney behind Watt.

I'd have to agree with you. He's limited but limited guys can be successful with he right scheme and decision making. Look at at what Alex Smith does with a team in terms of game management.

Also they've been hit with a few injuries with Manning at safety, Cushing, Foster. And Ed Reed just hasn't worked out as they'd hoped.

Jags have never had the first pick.

My Ravens desperately need to win against the Vikings to keep in prime position for that wildcard spot ahead of an extremely tough final three weeks which consists of road games against the Lions and Bengals and a home game against the Patriots. We rank 6th against the run in the league so hopefully we can keep Peterson from exploding and that should be enough.

Elsewhere, Seahawks @ 49ers should be a cracker and thankfully it's on at a decent time (9:25pm). Followed by Panthers @ Saints in the late game we're in for a great 12 hours or so of football. :)

Good to see Pitta back alright always been a fan, anyone an opinion on who I should start for my FLEX position in my league final?

Garcon, Ball, or M.Floyd (have Fitzgerald starting so not sure I want the two Cardinals receivers against a good Rams D)
