I'm iffy about Bannan, he was my first thought but wary of Palace attackers given their scoring returns.

Will likely be getting in a Palace defender and would seem just too wrong to sign two Palace players!!

I'm just looking at the price there 2. Could be vital to fund a heavy hitter but Whitts would be my preference.

Palace defender def coming in, Pulis talking about a need for lots of clean sheets :D

Nah, I've found an inner peace, there'll be plenty of glitter over the Christmas I'm sure, if there's a like for like transfer I'll do it, no hits till the new year.

    (You're probably right though :D )

Team is currently looking like this

    Mignolet
    Terry - Coleman - Jagielka
    Lallana - Brady - Ramsey - Hazzad - Toure
    Negredo Augero

Happy enough with that for the time being.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

    Went for,

    Rooney - Lukaku
    Evra - Distin
    Bacuna - Hazard

Team is now looking this after it,

    Szczesny
    Zab, Mert, Gabbidon
    Yaya, Ramsey, Hazard, Shelvey
    Suarez, Aguero, Lukaku

Subs: Boruc, Distin, El Ahmadi, Baker.

For the first time in a while I'm 100% happy with the team.

Had 2FT this week so went for:
    Zabaleta and Remy out
    Aguero and Chester in

I needed Aguero and looks like he'll go up again tonight. Sad to lose Zab and happy that he gave me 2 assists in 2 games as a leaving present, but I wasn't convinced in him long-term.

Need to get rid of Whittaker, who's the best defender with a view to xmas fixtures to get in for 4.5 max(already have Vlaar)?

Is Shelvey an option this week?

Alright have two free transfers but price rises/falls mean i have to move tonite - wanna get some Everton coverage for their nice run after the Arsenal match - what do people think is better:

    Mig & Dawson > Howard & Coleman
    Mig & Remy > Howard & Lukaku
    Dawson & Remy > Coleman & Lukaku

Here is where i am at:

    Mig Harper
    Terry Clyne Santon Shaw Chester
    Yaya Ramsey Hazard Redmond Morrison
    Aguero Suarez Giroud

    1.5 in bank.

    Plan is:
    Giroud > Lukaka
    Santon > Coleman/Jagielka
    Shaw/Clyne > Zab

I was planning on holding onto Giroud at home to Everton for this wekend but transfers are flying in for Lukaka so think my hand might be forced. My defennce need surgery and Mig needs to go and ideally redmond upgraded.

My money league rivals also have Aguero, Suarez, Lukaka, Yaya, Ramsey, Hazard and Morrison so it is really difficult to differentiate so i am looking to my defence while trying to keep these in.

    Anyone see anything else there?

Even though I have Rooney and Ravel suspended, along with Clyne and Vlaar carrying knocks, I think I'll bank my transfer this week after taking a number of hits over the last couple of GWs.

Facing Lemlin in the FFS Cup is preventing me taking an 8pt hit to get Yaya with Lukaku, pure impatience is all as Lukaku will be done with next weeks free just hoping he doesn't rise too much.

Good call - no point putting my eggs in the Howard/Coleman basket with a clean sheet unlikely...

Would have just enough to do Sess, Remy, Clyne ---> Lukaku, Lampard and Moxey/Ward over the next two weeks. Am a bit wary of Lampard though after getting burnt with him earlier in the season. Any thoughts?

Just did Clyne to Moxey. I'm thinking of hanging onto Rooney. I will sell Terry next week for another cheap defender.

Need to get rid of Mignolet but I'm unlikely to take a hit to get him out this week. I'll just let his price drop and end up not making any profit on him. On the other hand I want to replace him with Szczesny but he's 5.6 I'd need to sell Mig tonight probably to get Szczesny in for the same money as I'll get for Mignolet.

Anyone with any idea if Alejandro Pozuelo will play many minutes in his next few games? His form seems to be good but I'm worried that the impending return of Michu might limit his minutes on the pitch.

Howard and Lukaku may force my hand - Both rising tonight with Mignolet on the verge of dropping on top of that :(

I can't decide what to do, so if someone would like to weigh in..

Howard seems like he will be looking at quite a few CS over Christmas based on his matches. The question is - Is it worth doubling up?

Keeping Mignolet will give a very high chance of a clean sheet this weekend. They're at Anfield against West Ham who aren't exactly banging in goals, especially with Morisson out for the match. Although I want him gone after that.

The problem I'm facing is the price rises & decreases. I'll lose 0.1 on Mignolet, and Howard will cost me an extra 0.1 at least before I bring him in. Howard away to Arsenal so I can't see a CS there, then again I said the same when they were playing United at OT..

That's a loss of 0.2 for the sake of a potential 6 or so points.

Remy to Lukaku sounds very appealing, but this week I prefer Remy's chances. Lukaku is a tank and he could realistically score against anyone, but Arsenal are solid this season. 6 CS and only 7 goals conceded since GW2.. While Man Utd have been leaking goals all season.. I'll be able to sell Remy for 7.9 and Lukaku is currently at 8.1, rising to 8.2 before the deadline, possibly even 8.3.. I don't know if it's worth waiting longer at the risk of losing any more on getting him in.. It's already going to eat 0.2 from my bank balance and that alone puts off my plans of bringing Silva into my squad when he returns from injury as I'm already 0.2 short.

    This seems like a no-brainer.

To add to my problems - I have Coleman and Oviedo already so will need to ship out Oviedo to bring in both Lukaku and Howard. To get rid of Oviedo I'd likely ride the Shelvey bandwagon to try and make some profit. Based on how many transfers he's had in (42,500 today alone) it's quite likely to see at least 0.1 profit, if not more.

    Altogether I'd be looking at a -8

Please, someone either tell me I'm mad, or to go for it.

I've had rooney for a good while but all things considered I think I'm best off replacing him with lukaku. This will fund lallana to yaya next week.

My other transfer this week is yanga mbiwa to joel ward. Will have to be done at some stage and may aswell take the 4 pt hit now as I can't see myself saving any transfers and there's doubt over pieters for the weekend. Worst transfer of the season so far was yanga.

Boruc out and Mignolet in for me.

Szczesny has been doing well but I'm not confident of him keeping a clean sheet against Everton so I'm benching him this weekend.

Keeping Stevie G for one more game and then will probably swap him back for Yaya (it was a stupid decision to begin with but I'm hopeful Gerrard might knock one in at home this weekend)

I do too, but is it really that essential a transfer? Maybe your position is different but I got him for 5.5 so if needs be I'll let him fall back down to that price

I got him at 5.7 during GW4 :o He goes down in price, I lose 0.1

I've already done Clyne - Moxey but this absolutle mess needs to be sorted.
The only way to do that is to sell Rooney and buy Lukaku to free up some cash. I'd love to hold onto Rooney but needs must and all that............
    That midfield is just embarrassing

Do you have to bring in Howard? 3 Everton players is too many imo. What about a cheaper option like Marshall or would you not go for Szczesny?

Anyone think Pantilimon has a hope of retaining his place after last night? Didn't see the OG so I can't really pass judgement.

Szczesny is my second consideration. I have Gazzaniga so can play him over the next 3 weeks until Arsenal fixtures ease up.

    Also have Clyne though..
