    Hi,

Im a mature student in UL finishing my engineering degree, my course contains a coop placement from the end of 2nd yr until january of the following year. As a mature student with work experience I was exempt from this, and was told by my welfare office to sign off BTEA as normal for the summer and then sign on to it again in january. This morning I called about it to clarify the situation for January, and I was point blank told no one would have advised me to do so and that I would have to reapply for the BTEA before I go back but that there would be no guarantee that I would get it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
