Just tried using my card and it was declined, tried to check balance online, but service unavailable.

Is there something up with UB at the moment?

I know I have money in that account WTF?

While I'm at it, where did hopscotch get its name?

The bank's parent company RBS, tweeted "We're aware of some technical issues and are working hard to fix them. Sorry and thanks for your patience"

I am having the same problem. Just heard on RTE news that there is a repeat problem of the incident last year. Seems it is also affecting RBS/NatWest customers all over the UK.

These guys are so useless at customer service. This time I am definitely moving. They should loose their banking license.

Hippos never had good press, even in the 70s- don't know why Ulster bank went with that mascot:

There's more there than there was - and I wasn't adding any! :)

I bought something from amazon (cyber monday :)) and the money was gone earlier but appears to be back in the account. It will probably correct itself after the end of day processing runs tonight.

UB app on mobile keeps telling me I need an internet connection yet other sites are working, I take it UB's message is down to the problems they're having??

Funny though, I purchased something on Amazon "last night" and just now got an email from Amazon telling me there's problems processing the payment!!

Just back from a 50 mile round trip to do the weekly grocery shop empty handed because my card wouldn't process at the till, tried several ATM'S and still wouldn't work, lets just say will be filling out a/c forms for a new bank before the weekend.I think the supermarket (Asda) should have made customers aware that there was a problem with UB card transactions instead of letting them walk around the shop for an hour for nothing.

Well being with RBS i'm screwed. Of all the times for this to happen, it happens during a steam sale.:(

People should vote with their feet and move banks.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Just off the phone to customer services in the UK. They actually can't even access customer details ATM - they are completely blind

My card is blocked and I can't make online payments. On cyber Monday, the busiest day of the year for online payments

I have a massive order in with GAP. 40% discount today only. UB can pay me this difference + compensation, thanks very much.

Was it the outsourced IT in India who fukced up again?
